My general preferences are here, but here is the modified version of my Star Wars preferences:

So, I'm a Star Wars fan who's a little sad that the Extended Universe got handwaved away - I really loved Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole, and my requests reflect that.  I am a Legends girl at heart, and you can’t go wrong if you write me something that belongs in either a Timothy Zahn book or Stackpole’s Rogue Squadron books.

However, I'm also a Star Wars fan who thought Rogue One totally and completely rocked it out of the park. Loved it loved it loved it!

Please don't refer to anything that happened after the godawful Vector Prime and switch to Del Rey.

I'm also not a very active Star Wars fan.

I enjoyed the sequels (although that like is dwindling more every time I see a stupid handwave plot post) but didn’t LOVE them, especially after the ridiculously evident fact that they DIDN’T HAVE A PLAN.

I love the original three.

I am NOT a fan of the prequels.  I wanted to like them, but I just couldn’t get past Phantom Menace and the stupidity of traveling around with young Obi-Wan Kenobi and falling for Anakin.   I’m not familiar with the animated SW shows, and my ignoring the sequels means I also missed all the “Jedi don’t have emotional attachments” which maybe should have gone down as a bad idea. 

I’m not currently familiar with The Mandalorian other than Baby Yoda memes.  I enjoyed Kenobi, have not watched Andor.

I did enjoy the zaniness of the Star Wars Lego Holiday special, so feel free to play off that.

My heart is with the original 3 (and Rogue One, now that it exists) and the "waved away" Extended Universe.  The more they make me feel like it requires me to do homework, the less interested I am.

I'm also not really a Luke fan. Give me Han and Wedge any day of the week. And maybe Ben Kenobi.  Or an AU where Biggs Darklighter becomes the most famous pilot from Tatooine.  And maybe find some way to make Rey a Kenobi descendant…?  I really wanted her to be a Kenobi descendant.

On all my requests, I'm TOTALLY and completely fine with the idea of the characters being in a tapcafe or cantina or bar telling stories about "that one time" - or having encounters in bars.

I like "what-if" AUs, but not "Star Wars: The Dorms".

Please feel free to mix and match my requests.  If you figure out some way to work them all in, I guarantee you I will enjoy it!

Also, after watching some of the original Thundercats, I think it is obvious: Jaga is a Jedi Master.  Feel free to run with this.

So I really love this challenge. It gives me a chance to step outside the sort of thing I normally write, and it gives me the opportunity to get some nice ghost encounter stories and/or a mythology fix.

General: Try not to make everything too dark - some darkness in the progress of the story is fine, but don't end it that way. Bittersweet or slightly creepy "do I want to turn on the lights before I go up" is always good.

I also LOVE crossovers. If you want to smash a few of the prompts together, I would be A-OK with that. I'd also be cool with you dragging in characters from other fandoms (Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys investigate the Ocean-Born Mary house. Go for it.)

My general preferences are here.  You can also use the "dear writer" tag but TBH I copy/paste letters a lot.  The general preferences were updated this year, so if you've written for me before, definitely give it a look!

Optional details are optional, but I love a good chatty letter.  I want to give you something to latch on to but don't feel constrained.  I apologise for this one being late-ish but it's been a Month here in my household.

I failed to include my DNWs in my signup, but I know you will avoid them anyway (they are nominated character death, cruelty/death to animals/children (specifically cats), explicit/graphic/sexual violence). Please especially do not reference cat death (not canon for any of these) - I unfortunately lost my best Siamese girl to bone cancer after 16 wonderful years in 2021 and it's still tender.

Remember, whatever you write, I will love!  I know 2020 2021 2022 has been rough on a lot of people, so please don't stress out too much because Yuletide will be wonderful!  It's definitely been full of challenges for me, so let's celebrate with awesome fic!  These are a mix - 3 repeat requests and 2 new (for Yuletide) requests.

Crossovers are definitely welcome, as are AUs!  If you cross it over with Clue or an Agatha Christie fandom/detective (Poirot, Marple, Ariadne Oliver, And Then There Were None) I'm good with anything - otherwise, see my preferences - cracky or serious crossovers welcome.  I also welcome any and all crossovers involving Nancy Drew. 

I do enjoy the trappings of the Christmas holiday (mistletoe, gifts, hot chocolate, oh no we're snowed in together and must stay warm somehow... or we're trapped with a killer, family togetherness, snowball fights, traveling over the river and through the terminal) but do not require them.  If they work though, by all means, take advantage of it.

So let’s talk about Halloween/spooky stuff I love.  Feel free to apply to any prompt as applicable.

I love Halloween like we experienced it in the 80s.  Dressing up, having fun, candy candy candy.

Phantom hitchhikers need rides home, Halloween or not.  I love their stories.  I’m also a fan of reverse hitchhikers (the car and driver are the ghost – think of The Ride or Phantom 309).  I’m also a big fan of phantom places (oh, that old diner outside of town burned down seven years ago last week).

I like urban legend classics like the psycho killer on the college campus, or the hook on the door, or the killer in the backseat.  However, please skip the babysitter getting the call from upstairs – that one actively bothers me.

In general, for scary I want less gore/jump scare and more “standing at the bottom of the stairs with all the lights on hesitating to go upstairs”.

If you want to fuse any of these with a Clue/House on Haunted Hill/And Then There Were None type setup, go ahead.

I love a good ghost story, and ghost stories where they don’t immediately realize they have encountered a ghost.  Helpful ghosts or ghosts who need help from us are my jam, not really into poltergeist type stuff.

Spooky pranks are good too.
