So while I have more to say about some fandoms, because some I have requested more, I love them all.  Any of them would make me happy.

So I know a lot of original MOTU fans were not thrilled with this one, but I definitely wanted MORE.

 

I am totally here for the idea that Teela becomes the next champion of Eternia, because I kind of felt like that was where the storyline was taking us, although I wasn't expecting the turn the story took. But I also wanted more about the interpersonal relations that just got hinted at.

I really wanted more about the interpersonal pieces.  We get the searing moment where Marlena reveals that she KNOWS Adam is He-Man, the moment where Randor learns (I would be totally down for introspection here).  I’d love to see Marlena interacting with Sorceress or Duncan, before or after – how does she feel about Adam being the Champion?  I’d be interested in how she feels about Duncan KNOWING and keeping it from them – betrayal, maybe? 

Or can we talk about the part where the Sorceress tells Teela that she brought them there so she could see her one last time and we kind of NEVER GO BACK TO THAT?  Go back to that.

Or Teela becomes Champion in Adam’s place (although please resurrect him)?

Or feel free to crossover with the original He-Man or original She-Ra.  (There was a fic already starting
where Teela, Andra and Evil-Lyn go to 1985 Etheria to find Adora and I am 5000% here for more of THAT!, unfortunately the author appears to have left AO3)

I’m not opposed to Teela/Andra but I don’t want the fics to focus on it – background or brief glimpses are fine but I don’t need 10K words of their relationship.  But I see and am here for the ship.  I love Andra’s reactions and how she gets brought into the family.

 

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983)

I cannot tell you how much I love this cartoon, and how much of my love centers on Adam and Marlena. I'm down for whatever story you want to tell about these two. Marlena keeping a journal of her life on Eternia? Adam trying to get advice on his issues? Marlena trying to get advice on his or her issues? The relationships she forms?

 

If I had to be on a desert island with only one 80s cartoon, this is the one I’d pick, every time.  And if you look at my fandoms, that’s saying quite a bit.

I love Adam and He-Man.  I love how he’s conflicted, and how Marlena KNOWS.  The whole Rainbow Warrior episode, and the moment where she tells him that a mother knows what her son is capable of – that’s one of my favorite movies in the whole series.  (Bonus points if you have jokes about comic book characters being what tips Marlena off). Or the moment where Adora is kidnapped and Marlena is tearfully asking him for help.  The feels, every time.  Or a fic where they visit Earth and Marlena gets to see her home?

I prefer to ship Adam with Castaspella, and I love seeing the difference between how Adam acts on Eternia and Etheria.  I’d love to see her figure out his secret.  Or an AU where Adam was taken, not Adora?

For Marlena/Randor I like the whole “your perfect woman literally fell out of the sky” deal.  How does Marlena deal with the new place – how does he help her?

I’m also down for crossovers with other 80s cartoons, because I really don’t want to be on a desert island without Voltron, Jem, GI Joe, Thundercats, Visionaries, DDC, She-Ra… but I would if I had to.

The various Heyers - feel free to combine, mix and match! I'd love to see this one as a house party (maybe different stories focusing on different pairings) either in the Regency era we know them in, ORRRRR they're at a house party trying to get the newest generation of Deverils, Darracotts, Lindeths, Hawkridges,and Stornaways married off.

 

I just feel like maybe Gyro might approach a guy like Cobra Commander for funding...or maybe CC reaches out to him.

 

Hercule Poirot & Nancy Drew - I just find this one interesting.

 

Joe Hardy prompts: I think this could be fun and light, either way.

 

Jyn & Rogue Squadron - I feel like this could be an interesting group...

 

Heyers – House party for the ages, or London season.  I see Jenny as the anchor for a great house party.  Feel free to marry off their descendants to each other.  If you pick one with Anthea, I like Hugo/Vincent/Anthea as well as the canon pairing.  I have Nonesuch and Ajax requested on their own as well, so feel free to fall into Heyer.  I’m also a fan of Cotillion and Venetia as well.  Perhaps Richmond has his commission and is in uniform in London...?  Julia v. Tiffany could be SUPER entertaining (maybe they hate each other, or maybe Julia helps her find another Marquis?)

He-Man | Adam (He-Man MOTU)/Castaspella (She-Ra 1985), See the MOTU sections of the letter for more ideas – if I suggested it there, I’d love it here.  I love He-Man and Castaspella together and think it could be excellent to have more.  Or if you’re down for a good AU, Adam gets taken instead of Adora, go crazy.  For Gyro & Cobra Commander, I just think they could have some entertaining interactions.  Li’l Bulb Tech for COBRA?  Or maybe for once Gyro’s inventions don’t turn evil, which is a disappointment for CC.

J.R. Ewing (Dallas) & Angela Channing (Falcon Crest) – When I watched these as a kid with my grandmother on Friday night, I always secretly wanted a crossover showdown between these two.  My money is on Angela.  I know the run of Falcon Crest ended with Angela either in a coma or dead (due to the actress’s actual situation) but ignore that and “reboot” it as they did with Dallas 2012.  The Dallas 2012 reboot was great, at least until the end of what they did.

Hercule Poirot & Nancy Drew – They just have very different styles, but I think this could be fun.  Bonus points if you tip to 1930s Nancy in a Poirot setting.  I enjoy the show, but tend to prefer the books (especially the whole section where there’s some weird sexual overtones in every ep).

 

I like these because of the show – having Joe working with a singer or being undercover in CA works nicely.  Feel free to drag Frank/Nancy along with you!

 

Jyn & Rogue Squadron – I am a frequent rider on the Everyone Lives train for Rogue One – but having Rogue Squadron and Rogue One’s team could be very interesting.  I’m fond of Wedge, Corran, Wes and Hobbie.

So I'm super interested in the period after ACC and what might be considered the next generation of Vorbarr Sultana. I love Cordelia and Alys in their roles as advisors/arbiters, but I really want to see what happens next as Barrayar modernizes.

 

It’s not a DNW, but I prefer no Miles-centric fic.  Background is fine, but Miles has a tendency to take over, and he’s just not my favorite.  Send him on some auditorial mission. 

Give me some modern stories of Vorbarr Sultana – I’m a huge Winterfair fan.  I love balls and social events and yes, a little intrigue.  I’m totally here for Alys and Cordelia shaping the future of Barrayar.  I’m here for Laisa and Tej and Delia and Olivia taking some advice…or not taking it.  I want to see more about how Drou interacts with them, especially with Gregor.  I’d also be down for scathing reviews/discussion of Barrayaran period drama (Cordelia and Alys nitpicking portrayals of their lives could be good!) or Cordelia and Alys dropping some truth about how it used to be.  I’m envisioning something like Downton Abbey but Vorish.  Pretender-era dramas?  Cordelia and Alys and Drou nitpicking casting (they should definitely cast someone too smooth to play Aral).  Not to mention Duv complaining about the history. 

Maybe some updates to Cordelia’s rules in Barrayar? 

The fandom has an established trope of “new” stories developed during the Time of Isolation, and I’d love a spin on maybe Sleeping Beauty or VorCinderella, or the Princess and the Pea, or Kupti and Imani?  What about a good urban legend?  Room for One More Vor? Vanishing hitchhikers?  Ocean Born Mary?  If you’re interested in this idea, check out my letters for Once Upon a Fic.

Or, if you like, an encounter with Kareen's ghost.  I have previously received a lovely fic called History (https://archiveofourown.org/works/8117992) that deals with a ghostly visitor.

Gregor/Laisa – Something inside their privacy, somewhere that they can actually relax.

Duv/Delia – I recently wrote a Drou focused fic and spent way too much time rereading Memory and thinking about this pair.  I’d love to see them in action.

Ivan/Tej – I love these two SO much.  She’s not what I expected but she is so good for him, and they’re so good for each other and I love them.

For last year’s FIAB, I did a Vorkosigan AU, feel free to have a look.  I’d love more Alys & Ivan & Aral moments. See also a_shepherd’s excellent One Leg at A Time.

Added 9/6: I just realized I left out Cordelia/Oliver.  I love how their relationship develops, and I love how he holds his own ground.  I'd love to see his input on the period shows as well, or how about parenting with Cordelia (not for the weak)?  And I agree with Ivy...

Couple of ideas. I'd love a story focusing on relationships using Aja and Craig's wedding (holograms of the bride, misfits of the groom?), or Danse's search for (and finding) her mother, or something to do with Morvania.

 

 

If you want to write 10K words of totally outrageous 1980s cartoon soap opera, this is the request for you.  Flashy, over the top – I am here for it.  If you want to do an AU where Jacqui is still alive, roll with it.  If you want to have Aja wear her veil or something, I am here for it. 

 

I’ve been wanting a deeper look into Danse’s search for her mother – maybe an Unsolved Mystery or something? 

 

Or really explore the princess and rock star thing Morvania has going on.  I think AITA and Redditships would be really really good for this fandom. 

 

I don't want a story focused on Kimber/Stormer but definitely accept them as a background pairing!  I think Riot/Stormer would be interesting because in their two groups they are both the serious musicians.  Maybe working on something (with platonic Kimber & Stormer?) and it gets steamy late at night?  Sharing sensitive stories?

 

But on this one feel free to channel the 80s.

I am reading this right now with my teen daughter and I want to know what happens AFTER the book!

 

Does Tiffany go to London?  How do the happy couples receive her?  Feel free to roll with the crossovers as well.  Reading it now and struck by how Waldo (despite the name) is probably one of the most accessible Heyer heroes).  Along with Hugo Darracott, John Staple, and Jasper Damerel, he’s one of my faves.

So, basically if you’ve seen the 2 two-parters and the Arson and Old Lace ep, you know my jam.  Even that one I’m not crazy about because the actress who replaced Pamela Sue Martin was not as good.  I love the competitive vibe between Frank and Nancy, with a touch of Get a Room, Maybe There Will Only Be One Bed.

 

And yes, Robert Wagner is the Robert Wagner.  See the Hollywood two-parter.

WB: What Happens in the Alternate Timeline Before Episode 10

 

Just inject it into my veins. After sitting out several of the newer shows, I dove into this one and please just give me more more more. I think the things I REALLY want to know is, what all was happening in that alternate timeline before we got dropped into it.

 

I'd also be down for more of the crew. I'm a huge Pike/Number One fan.

 

That being said, I would also be down for a story with Z'ymira and Adya and Lady Audrey.

 

I’d love another adventure where the 3 characters have to work together in their Elysian Kingdom personae.  I’ve been a Pike/Number One shipper since the first time I saw The Cage (in the 90s, I think) and I want to see how these two would play it. 

 

La’an being on the Enterprise when they pick up Khan (who’s clearly a known baddie) – how does that go?  Maybe they don’t drop him off at Ceti Alpha V?

 

Una is my favorite, so far.

 

We have picked up Discovery (into Season 3) so I’m familiar with all that info if you need it.

 

What If...? (TV 2021)

I loved the Captain Carter episode and would love more set in that one either before Peggy meets up with the nightmare calamari or at the end of Ep 9. But more on the Ep 1 side.

 

I really loved this revision.  I love how Steve is fundamentally the same, but with different abilities.  I love Howard (I push the buttons) and how he fits with everyone.  What did he and Hedy talk about?  Give us more nebulous WW2 time with Nazis getting destroyed and maybe people finally get to dance?

 

Also, so at the end of Episode 9, I thought they were going to find Steve in the armor.  I’ve seen suggestions that they’re hinting at Winter Soldier, but give these two some happiness.

I love this dysfunctional family. More about what happens after the book, and I am VERY into the AU that Hugo/Anthea/Vincent make a threesome.

 

This is my favorite dysfunctional family.  How does Hugo change things (for the better)?  Does Lord Darracott stop being such a pain?  (Signs point to no.). I love Lady Aurelia’s detachment and support.  Feel free to work with the Nonesuch crossover.
