So, I'm a Star Wars fan who's a little sad that the Extended Universe got handwaved away - I really loved Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole, and my requests tend to reflect that.  I am a Legends girl at heart, and you can’t go wrong if you write me something that belongs in either a Timothy Zahn book or one of Stackpole’s Rogue Squadron books.  Please don't refer to anything that happened after the godawful Vector Prime and switch to Del Rey.  No Yuuzhan Vong, no Mara Jade gets weird wasting disease, no Teneniel getting put in the freezer.

I'm also not a very active Star Wars fan.  I’m not into the games, am not reading the new EU stuff, so don’t write anything that requires a lot of homework to GET.

However, I'm also a Star Wars fan who thought Rogue One totally and completely rocked it out of the park. Loved it loved it loved it!  Went and saw it in the theaters like 4 times, including giving up a free day to go see it on a BIG screen.  It’s so good.  The novelization was good too.  I’m a fan of Everyone Lives/Krennic dies AUs or Some People Live/Some People Die.

I love the original three (ROTJ is my favorite). 

I enjoyed the sequels (although that like is dwindling more every time I see a stupid handwave plot post) but didn’t LOVE them, especially after the ridiculously evident fact that they DIDN’T HAVE A PLAN.

I am NOT a fan of the prequels.  I wanted to like them, but I just couldn’t get past Phantom Menace and the stupidity of traveling around with young Obi-Wan Kenobi and falling for Anakin.  

I’m not familiar with the animated SW shows, and my ignoring the prequels means I also missed all the “Jedi don’t have emotional attachments” which maybe should have gone down as a bad idea.

I’m not familiar with most of the Disney shows BUT I did enjoy Kenobi quite a bit.  I loved Tala and little Leia and Beru.

I did enjoy the zaniness of the Star Wars Lego Holiday special, so feel free to play off that.

My heart is with the original 3 (and Rogue One, now that it exists) and the "waved away" Extended Universe.  The more they make me feel like it requires me to do homework, the less interested I am.

I'm also not really a Luke fan. Give me Han and Wedge any day of the week. And maybe Ben Kenobi. 

Or an AU where Biggs Darklighter becomes the most famous pilot from Tatooine.  And maybe find some way to make Rey a Kenobi descendant…?  I really wanted her to be a Kenobi descendant.  I still want her to be a Kenobi somehow.

So, I'm a Star Wars fan who's a little sad that the Extended Universe got handwaved away - I really loved Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole, and my requests this year reflect that.

However, I'm also a Star Wars fan who thought Rogue One totally and completely rocked it out of the park. Loved it loved it loved it!

Please don't refer to anything that happened after the godawful Vector Prime and switch to Del Rey.

I'm also not a very active Star Wars fan. On all my requests, I'm TOTALLY and completely fine with the idea of the characters being in a tapcafe or cantina or bar telling stories about "that one time" - or having encounters in bars.

I like "what-if" AUs, but not "Star Wars: The Dorms".

Also, after watching some of the original Thundercats, I think it is obvious: Jaga is a Jedi Master.  Feel free to run with this.

 

Wedge Antilles/Leia Organa, Wedge Antilles & Leia Organa

Wedge & Leia - I'd love to see more of this relationship, especially as it is portrayed in the Legends book. Or if you want to take it to TLJ, that would also be acceptable. In this scenario only, I am okay with a Wedge death but it better be a blaze of glory saving someone.

Wedge/Leia - I think a fling could have happened, a little stress relief...

I'm okay with killing Wedge off in the Wedge & Leia scenario, but it better be glorious and heroic. I really miss him in the newer movies. Keep Wedge/Leia in the X-Wing or original series timeframe.

Not really much to add besides WHERE ARE ALL THE PILOTS in the later movies?  I like Poe, but he’s no Wedge Antilles.  Also not opposed to you dragging in the rest of the Rogues for comic relief.  Leia is gone when Wedge finally makes his appearance, but you could do something with that, him remembering her.

Pash Cracken & Wedge Antilles, Wedge Antilles & Biggs Darklighter, Wedge Antilles & Nera Kase, Nera Kase/Garven Dreis

I love love love Wedge Antilles. I'd love something set during original movies, X-Wing books or maybe a look at what he's doing in Last Jedi (or why he's NOT doing anything). I like Poe, but he's no Wedge Antilles…

I have a great affection for Biggs as well, and hanging out with Wedge. Feel free to have them ganging up on Luke somehow. Or maybe Biggs lives and becomes the most famous pilot a planet called Tatooine ever produced....

I admit to a preference for the Wedge of the Rogue Squadron books, with the sly humor and him as the Commander of the Rogues (and their craziness). Maybe an AU where Biggs is in there with him? You could keep Gavin around as well.

For Wedge and Pash, I love their interactions in the X-Wing books.

I discovered Nera in the recent anthology, and need more. I'd love to see Wedge give Nera the credit she and her crews deserve and I'd love an AU she gets to tell Garven how she feels...

For these requests, I’d prefer to keep it in the Original Trilogy time period or X-Wing books time period.  I’m down for serious saving the world stuff or the Rogues being Rogues.  Feel free to stuff Luke in a fridge if that suits the story…or maybe he never gets lukewarm?

 

Corran Horn/Mirax Terrik, Corran Horn/Mirax Terrik & Wedge Antilles/Iella Wessiri, Corran Horn & Nejaa Halcyon

I'd love to see Corran getting a force ghost visit from his grandfather.

I'm always down for Corran/Mirax, and combining them with Wedge/Iella could be very fun.

I love Mirax and Corran, especially when she takes him down a few notches.

Corellia Forever!  Hijinks ensue.  Rogue Squadron timeline or later.  I like these all equally.

 

Mara Jade & Teneniel Djo, Rey's Father & Rey's Mother & Mara Jade, Mara Jade/Luke Skywalker, Rey's Father & Rey's Mother & Luke Skywalker, Teneniel Djo/Luke Skywalker

Just don't put Teneniel in the fridge like they do later in the series.

I loved young Teneniel and was super disapointed to see what they did to her. Maybe Luke stays on Dathomir, or maybe she comes with him?

Mara interacting with Teneniel could be fun.

Rey's parents and either Mara or Luke - or both? Maybe transfer the You will kill Luke Skywalker here? It could be good.

This is sort of my EU catch all but I think it would rock to insert Rey and her parents into a Heir to the Empire sort of plot that saves us from the BS in the sequels and keeps poor Rey from a life on Jakku.

For Mara/Luke a little bit of sexy fluff would work nicely.

General wants: I'm okay with fluffy-but-not-unrelieved-sugar, bittersweet-but-not-despair-of-the-ages, humor, romance, adventure, mystery. I am not opposed to sex as long as it's in character. Explicit is okay, but so is fade to black. I like "what-if" AUs, but not "Star Wars: The Dorms".

 This was a new one with a lower limit (500 words instead of the usual 1000) and it was fun.  They plan to run it again next year and expand some, so I'll be looking forward to it.

 I got two gifts, which makes me excited.  I write a lot of pinch hits because I enjoy it, but I do admit feeling a little twinge of disappointment that no one ever treats me.

 My gift was Just Be Close At Hand with Leia and Luke.  My prompt was "tell us how Leia really feels about Luke" and I feel like this nailed it.  A little sweet, a little anger, a lot bitter, and all good.

 My Treat was An Im-Poe-rtinent Question with Wedge Antilles and Poe Dameron.  Short, sweet, in character and funny!

 My entry for the exchange was The Ones Left Behind, focusing on Leia and C-3PO being the last 2 together.  It's a little bitter and a little sweet, and my recipient liked it, which is good!
