Apologies for getting back to my late letter habit!

My general preferences are here.  The YES section from my signup can be found there as well.

My Ships Crossing letter may also be useful.

SMUT DNW : creampies | the word “cunt” | anal | hate each other out of bed | underage | incest

MAYBE: no-harm dubcon (sex pollen or “fertility artifact”) | period typical attitudes | infidelity | power dynamic

I’ve selected Fusion and Crossover for all requests.

So, since this challenge is a little different, I like to open with a little information about the fandoms, and what I love about them.  Fandoms are in no particular order.

Dallas 1978:  1980s extravagance and excess.  JR Ewing scheming, wheeling and dealing.  The way Sue Ellen's alcoholism is real, both the ups and downs.  The fashions!  If you are familiar with the reboot, feel free to hint at it.  I also love the "we'll fight all we want but you take us all on" dynamic.  Would prefer focus on later seasons, unless you want to have some fun with Bobby Ewing's shower.  Also I didn’t nominate it but if you know Dallas 2012 and want to work it in… They did an awesome job of translating all the things that made the original Dallas great, and both main male leads are ridiculously hot.  I wonder what would have happened if Larry Hagman hadn’t died, but the way they brought back original characters and mixed them in with new ones was excellent. I also loved the touches of “real world” (of course the Ewings have a box at Cowboy Stadium!  Of course Jerry Jones knows JR!)

Falcon Crest: I am here all the way for Angela Channing.  Dallas and Falcon Crest used to be my grandmother’s Friday night viewing, and Angela always intrigued me.  I loved how she played feminine wiles and sharp business and was like a deadly snake. The California scenery was good too, but for me the show was always about Angela.  Lance is entertaining, but no match for his grandmother.

Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys SuperMysteries: I love Nancy in all her incarnations, but chose the Super Mysteries because I think they would make better crossover material with some of the choices.  Travel, adventure, unresolved sexual tension (you can resolve it, it’s OK), the clothes, the flimsy undercover jobs.  This update of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys (and bringing them together) really scratches my 1980s/1990s itch.  I love how they’re always HAPPENING to run into each other and OOPS our mysteries are connected.  Frank Hardy was probably my first fictional boyfriend (so much better than Ned) and the UST, while varying from book to book, is great – but aside from the UST I love how well Nancy and Frank work together.  My faves are The Last Resort, Dangerous Games, Exhibition of Evil.  And Joe!  I love how funny and brash he can be, like taking on the bad guy with a water pistol.

Dungeons and Dragons (Cartoon): The whole part where the kids get sucked into the Realm through an amusement park ride does it for me.  I love how DM is just screwing with them left and right, and love when they’re trying to figure things out.   I love Eric coping through sarcasm and Sheila is the group big sister. Also here for Eric/Sheila and Return to the Realm stories. My favorites are the Hall of Bones, Dragon’s Graveyard, and The City at Midnight.

Jem: One of my favorites.  I love Jerrica and her need for an alter ego, the dynamics between all the characters, and yes even the music and cartoon 80s fashions.  I like the earlier episodes before things get cracky, but I also enjoy the Stingers eps.  Here for the ladies rocking, literally and figuratively.

He-Man and Masters of the Universe: My favorite cartoon.  There was something about this one I always liked better than She-Ra, and it's Adam and Cringer's relationship - plus I love Queen Marlena.  I love the Rainbow Warrior ep, Into the Abyss and the Sword in the Stone.  I did get Netflix purely to watch the reboot, and really enjoyed it, feel free to include it.

She-Ra 1985 – I never got into this one as much as He-Man, but I did appreciate that they drove home the point that Hordak was not playing around.  I really liked Castaspella and Shadow Weaver, but I generally preferred when they tied in with Eternia.

She-Ra Netflix – I did not expect to like this one as much as I did (please see above where I am a huge He-Man fan) but I actually did like how they spun the characters out (although I did not like Castaspella in it)

Voltron – Also a huge favorite.  Giant robot lions?  Princess and handsome space explorers?  Plot holes you could fly said giant robot lions through?  The sense that no one really cared about timelines?  The specifically American eps at the end?  I am not a Legendary Defender fan, I kind of liked Voltron Force.

Visionaries - So for the 80s cartoons, this one gets left out a lot, possibly because it’s not on DVD, but I love it.  It had the potential to be smarter than some of the others, and there’s just something about it that works and is intriguing.  A touch of post-apocalypse and magic, with a wizard who is clearly set on ZFG.  And the gruff guy gets the girl.  Did we mention they have can change into animals?  I love all 13 episodes of it on YouTube.

Strange New Worlds – Look, I’ve taken a pass on some of the new stuff but please inject this one into my veins.  Not just the hotness level of the crew but their feel is so good.  I love Pike and Number One, and Ortegas, and the show just keeps hitting you (Like Elysian Fields episode, damn you).  I’m curious to see where it goes, especially if it’s supposed to line up with TOS but I’m definitely hooked to watch along the wayf you do SNW, please assume I am up to date on whatever episode because we are impatiently waiting for Thursdays.

Frozen –I prefer Frozen II, love Anna/Kristoff, and will jam to their soundtracks all day long.  I try not to think about the logistical implications and I love the “Get This Right” outtake song.

Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure –This cartoon is ridiculously smart, and I don’t see why they didn’t do similar treatments for other properties.  I love the different arcs and types of stories, and it’s just a good story.

Bridgerton TV – Yes, I have read the books (except maybe not Gregory).  Yes, the TV show requires some suspension of disbelief.  Yes, I miss all the siblings showing up and meddling in each other’s but understand that TV shows work differently from books.  It’s quite enjoyable as its own thing.  Kate/Anthony are my favorites (in both).  Feel free to work Pall Mall in.

Babylon 5 – Yes, I was staying up until 10 on a school night to watch this.  I am a Star Trek fan but there is something about B5 that is unashakably better.  Maybe because people were still people, and because it took risk.  Imagine any of the scenes with Catherine and Jeff with a TNG couple (P/C, perhaps) – oh wait you can’t because they wouldn’t.  So many great characters and stories. I am a lifelong Star Trek fan but I really really LOVED Babylon 5.  I still do.  There was something about it that was smart and incredible and there will never be another like it.

Thunderbirds - So I was one of three people in a theater to see this when it came out (and I was dating one of the other two). But I love it. I love Lady Penelope and Jeff (and yes, Brains too - the whole scene where he yells at him to wake up is A-plus) and they need to get together.  And by the way, then like 15 years later our kid was/IS obsessed with it.  It was campy, yes, but enjoyable

Murder She Wrote – My mom is a big MSW fan (my brothers used to call Jessica Fletcher Grandma) and there’s something very soothing about it.  I prefer Cabot Cove cases, but visits to old friends might suit this

OPTIONAL ADD INS – Feel free to mix any of these in!

Clue: I love this movie, especially Miss Scarlet - how she is brash, frank, sexy and unapologetic.  I really like the whole "strangers trapped together" deal, especially if they’re trading quips in fancy dress.  This is my favorite movie of all time.

G.I. Joe: One of my favorites as a kid.  I love the women of the team.  I love the 80s feel.  Some of my favorites are The Funhouse, COBRA Stops the World, and the whole Arise Serpentor Arise mini-series.  When my brothers and I played outside, this was one of the things we played.

Perry Mason (1957) – As someone who grew up with the 80s-90s TV movies, it is fun to go back and watch the show, especially as concerns young Della.  I love the smarts they all have, and the commitment to getting people out of a jam.

1980s Showdown

Dallas (TV 1978), Falcon Crest (TV)

So when I was a kid and watched these two with my grandmother, while she drank her white wine and got my first lessons in scandal and backstabbing (and fashion), I ALWAYS wanted JR and Angela Channing to face off. It was supposed to happen until Jane Wyman got sick. I prefer Angela wins or they draw.

Characters:

Dallas: JR, Sue Ellen, Lucy (if either of these two helps Angela beat JR I will cheer), Bobby and if you want to get really crazy, Pam

Falcon Crest: Angela, Lance (I feel like he and Lucy could be fun together), Chao Li

More in letter!

Extra Ideas: 80s decadence and murder mysteries. Someone on either side retains Perry Mason (feel free to use the TV show or the TV movies with Raymond Burr on this one)?  Or maybe Jonathan Hart is merging with one or the other?  Or there’s a mystery.

JR vs Sue Ellen is always good, and I think Sue Ellen would team up with Angela in a heart beat.  (Please keep Sue Ellen's alcoholic tendencies at bay)  Maybe Miss Ellie v. Angela?  If you bring in Perry Mason, don’t forget to include Della.

Feel free to include Clue as well if you need some extra elements.  I am familiar with the 2021 Dallas reboot and while I TRULY enjoyed that, I’d prefer to stick with the 80s.

Why Pick Just One Robots and Sorcery 1980s Cartoon? (One Guest Star Included)

Dungeons and Dragons (Cartoon), He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983 Cartoon), She-Ra: Princess Of Power (1985), She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018), Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light, Voltron: Lion Force (1984)

I love 1980s cartoons and would love for you to slap any (or all? all is good) of these canons together. Feel free to be as handwavy as needed!

I know the Netflix She-Ra is not from the 80s (although there is a hysterical parody of the 80s cartoon in one episode) but I'd love to see how they match up with any of these!

Characters:

DDC - Sheila, Eric, Varla, Sheila/Eric, Presto/Varla

He-Man - Adam|He-Man, Man-At-Arms, Sorceress, Queen Marlena, Cringer, Adam/Casta, Man-at-Arms/Sorceress

She-Ra 1985 - Castaspella, Adora|She-Ra

She-Ra Netflix - Adora|She-Ra, Mermista, Bow

Visionaries: Cryotek, Galadria, Leoric, Fletchen, Witterquick, Ectar, Cryotek/Galadria, Leoric/Fletchen

Volton: Allura, Lance, Romelle, Sven, Coran, Allura/Lance, Romelle/Sven

I don’t care why they get together, I just want them to.  Some kind of mission that pulls everyone together?  Portals in Castle Grayskull force them together?  Any non-DDC characters end up in the Realm?  The only setting I don’t really care for is Etheria, but other than that GO WILD.

Cartoon Magic

Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure (Cartoon), Frozen (Disney Movies), He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983 Cartoon), She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018)

I feel like any of these would be excellent together. Some sort of magical portals, perhaps? A quest?

Characters:

RTA: Rapunzel, Eugene, Cassandra, Rapunzel/Eugene

Frozen: Anna, Kristoff, Anna/Kristoff

He-Man - Adam|He-Man, Man-At-Arms, Sorceress, Queen Marlena, Cringer, Adam/Casta, Man-at-Arms/Sorceress

She-Ra 1985 - Castaspella, Adora|She-Ra

If you want to play on the Tangled and Frozen characters being related, go for it.  Or maybe Cass’s journey leads her to mesh with one of the other fandoms?

Giant Machines Crossover by DesertVixen

Thunderbirds (2004), Voltron: Lion Force (1984)

Exactly what it sounds like here!

Characters:

Thunderbirds: Jeff, Penelope, Alan, Fermat, Brains, Tin Tin (honestly all other brothers besides Alan are interchangeable)

Volton: Allura, Lance, Romelle, Sven, Coran, Allura/Lance, Romelle/Sven

I feel like this could be really good – what do they have to team up against?  Does the Thunderbird Space Station get sucked into a rift?

An Outrageous Mystery

Jem and the Holograms (Cartoon), Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Super Mysteries - Franklin W. Dixon & Carolyn Keene

Pretty much what it sounds like, I would love something where Nancy and the Hardy Boys are solving a mystery for OR about the Jem crew. Bonus points for a) Joe singing b) Joe/Kimber or c) Joe/Princess Adriana

Characters:

ND/HB: Nancy, Frank, Nancy/Frank, Joe, Bess, Joe/Bess

Jem: Jerrica|Jem, Rio, Jerrica/Rio, Aja, Kimber, Princess Adriana

So the only thing I would request is avoid a ski resort mystery crossover, because I’m playing around with that.  But otherwise yes I am totally here for some kind of mystery.  Maybe accidentally discover Jem’s secret?  Jem is a real group in the ND HB SM universe?  One of the trapped on an island plots?  ND HB crew are in on the Music and Magic ep?

A Visit to Auntie Jess

Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Super Mysteries - Franklin W. Dixon & Carolyn Keene, Murder She Wrote

I feel like these two canons would know each other. Maybe Jessica knows Gertrude Hardy? Good for the mystery in Cabot Cove or Bayport/River Heights... or a good old fashioned murder mystery party elsewhere?

Characters:

ND/HB: Nancy, Frank, Nancy/Frank, Joe, Bess, Joe/Bess

MSW: Jessica, Seth

This just feels very natural.  I feel like Jessica would quite like them.  This would be a great place to add Clue – or some kind of setup where they’re supposed to be at party/weekend away?  Feel free to include Hart to Hart as well.

My Cracky Favorites

Jem and the Holograms (Cartoon), He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983 Cartoon), Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (TV)

I love all three of these and would just love something that puts them together!

Characters:

Jem: Jerrica|Jem, Rio, Jerrica/Rio, Aja, Kimber, Princess Adriana

He-Man - Adam|He-Man, Man-At-Arms, Sorceress, Queen Marlena, Cringer, Adam/Casta, Man-at-Arms/Sorceress

SNW: La'an, James T. Kirk, La'an/James, Chris Pike, Number One, Chris/Una, M'Benga, Spock

Whatever you want to do here!  Maybe play off the experimental holodeck deal in SNW (glad to know the holodeck has ALWAYS been a death trap)?  Time travel or space rifts?  Go wild!

Space Crossover

Babylon 5 (TV 1993), Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (TV), Voltron: Lion Force (1984), Thunderbirds (2004)

Space, with or without giant machines - GO.

Characters:

B5: Ivanova, Franklin, Garibaldi, Delenn

SNW: La'an, James T. Kirk, La'an/James, Chris Pike, Number One, Chris/Una, M'Benga, Spock

Thunderbirds: Jeff, Penelope, Alan, Fermat, Brains, Tin Tin (honestly all other brothers besides Alan are interchangeable)

Volton: Allura, Lance, Romelle, Sven, Coran, Allura/Lance, Romelle/Sven

I’ve requested quite a few of these in Ships Crossing but I think these all would go together nicely.  Space-time rifts?  They need to team up and fight off a baddie?

I have a few favorite people, obviously – I love La’an and think she and Susan would be an excellent pair.  Chris Pike and Jeffrey Sinclair both know something about the weight of destiny.  M’Benga and Franklin would be an excellent pair of rule breakers.  La’an might identify with Voltron crew.  Maybe Temporal Investigations is back?  Feel free to bring the UEF crew in!

Murder She Wrote, Bridgerton (TV), Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Super Mysteries - Franklin W. Dixon & Carolyn Keene

So apparently I forgot prompts here…but I would be totally down for transporting MSW or ND HB into a Bridgerton setting OR have a modern Bridgerton family who needs help?  I love the Regency, so have fun with that!
