desertvixenFor the liberal-minded on my f-list, may I recommend How The Republicans Stole Christmas by Bill Press, about the religious right. It's a pretty good book, without engaging in vicious attacks. The author gets 2 things very right by me.
1) If women do not control what goes on in our own bodies, we have control over nothing.
2) It's not the job of the government to do the job of the church.
The majority of the book deals with Religious Right attacks on church-state separation. It's rational discussion, without viperous attacks, which I appreciate. I don't like to read something that's so full of venom reason can't penetrate.
