Plans for 2016
Jan. 10th, 2016 03:30 pm2015 was pretty good.
I got my Master's of Science in Strategic Intelligence and wound up my NIU experience. Thinking about trying to get the thesis published this year for entertainment. Also hoping that the promotion board will see my degree and decide that this is my year. (If they don't, then count on me being a Sergeant First Class for all time, because I hit 18 in October.)
We moved from Washington DC to Fort Knox, Kentucky. Little bit of culture shock. Painted 3 rooms of the nice-size house.
I got to take 2 Army-funded trips to Hattiesburg, MS and Central City, KY. (Also discovered that there are still places that have smoking sections.)
I participated in a ton of writing challenges: ShipSwap (noms going on NOW), Once Upon a Fic, Night on Fic Mountain, Apocalyptathon, Fic Corner, Rare Pair Fest, Trick or Treat Exchange, Yuletide, and Fandom Stocking.
Plans for 2016 are pretty simple.
1) Back to working on my Master's in History, expecially since I am only 75 miles or so from my school. Need to finish by 2018.
2) Writing in as many challenges as possible. I'm signed up for Chocolate Box exchange (like Trick or Treat, only more ship oriented), will sign up for ShipSwap and Once Upon a Fic when they open up, and keep my eyes open for more. I also want to finish some of the projects lurking on my hard drive and do a few NYRs.
3. Working on my own cookbook - collecting my recipes in a central deal - and working with the MiniVixen in the kitchen.
4. Actually getting married, hopefully in April in Las Vegas.
5. Spending more time petting the Siameses. They will have been with me for 10 years in February!
6. Make progress on scrapbooking.
7. Enjoy life.
