My general preferences are here, but here is the modified version of my Star Wars preferences:

So, I'm a Star Wars fan who's a little sad that the Extended Universe got handwaved away - I really loved Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole, and my requests reflect that.  I am a Legends girl at heart, and you can’t go wrong if you write me something that belongs in either a Timothy Zahn book or Stackpole’s Rogue Squadron books.

However, I'm also a Star Wars fan who thought Rogue One totally and completely rocked it out of the park. Loved it loved it loved it!

Please don't refer to anything that happened after the godawful Vector Prime and switch to Del Rey.

I'm also not a very active Star Wars fan.

I enjoyed the sequels (although that like is dwindling more every time I see a stupid handwave plot post) but didn’t LOVE them, especially after the ridiculously evident fact that they DIDN’T HAVE A PLAN.

I love the original three.

I am NOT a fan of the prequels.  I wanted to like them, but I just couldn’t get past Phantom Menace and the stupidity of traveling around with young Obi-Wan Kenobi and falling for Anakin.   I’m not familiar with the animated SW shows, and my ignoring the sequels means I also missed all the “Jedi don’t have emotional attachments” which maybe should have gone down as a bad idea.

I’m not currently familiar with The Mandalorian other than Baby Yoda memes but might have remedied that by the time the challenge opens.

I did enjoy the zaniness of the Star Wars Lego Holiday special, so feel free to play off that.

My heart is with the original 3 (and Rogue One, now that it exists) and the "waved away" Extended Universe.  The more they make me feel like it requires me to do homework, the less interested I am.

I'm also not really a Luke fan. Give me Han and Wedge any day of the week. And maybe Ben Kenobi.  Or an AU where Biggs Darklighter becomes the most famous pilot from Tatooine.  And maybe find some way to make Rey a Kenobi descendant…?  I really wanted her to be a Kenobi descendant.

On all my requests, I'm TOTALLY and completely fine with the idea of the characters being in a tapcafe or cantina or bar telling stories about "that one time" - or having encounters in bars.

I like "what-if" AUs, but not "Star Wars: The Dorms".

Please feel free to mix and match my requests.  If you figure out some way to work them all in, I guarantee you I will enjoy it!

Also, after watching some of the original Thundercats, I think it is obvious: Jaga is a Jedi Master.  Feel free to run with this.

My overall DNW are extreme/explicit/sexual violence, nominated character death, cruelty to children/animals.

On to my requests!

I will love whatever you write for my rare pairs, so have fun.  I have a lot of thoughts but I'm also one of those people who can't stop providing info and who loves long letters.  Also provided amount info does not necessarily indicate how much I desire the story.

My general preferences are here.

I will love whatever you write, so have fun and hopefully the letter is helpful.

I am completely 100% on board with you using multiple prompts (say like one really weird town) as long as they work well together.  I am also down with some sort of generational story (like a line of obsessed explorers, perhaps).

My general preferences are here.

My general DNW are explicit/graphic/sexual violence, cruelty to animals/children, nominated character death.  I have noted where I am willing to lift the DNW for specific prompts.

So I really love this challenge. It gives me a chance to step outside the sort of thing I normally write, and it gives me the opportunity to get some nice ghost encounter stories and/or a mythology fix.

General: Try not to make everything too dark - some darkness in the progress of the story is fine, but don't end it that way. Bittersweet or slightly creepy "do I want to turn on the lights before I go up" is always good.

I also love crossovers. If you want to smash a few of the prompts together, I would be A-OK with that. I'd also be cool with you dragging in characters from other fandoms (Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys investigate the Ocean-Born Mary house or encounter "Room for One More"? Go for it.)

If you want more about my writing likes/dislikes, check out the "dear Yuletide writer" tag.  My general preferences are here.

I'm good with sexual activity that fits with the characters and situation.

My DNW apply for all requests:

graphic/explicit/sexual violence, nominated character death, cruelty to animals/children

Apologies for the delay.  I blame it on bonus 2020 content.

My DNW for all: nominated character death, graphic/explicit/sexual violence, cruelty to animals/children, hard kink.

My general preferences on fanfic are here.

I decided to talk a little about what I like about the tags.  Although there are specified tags for each request, feel free to bring them in as you like (with one exception noted below on request)  In general, if I requested the tag, I like the concept.

CharacterA/B Kick The Asses Of Bad Guys Who Attack During Their Date Then Go Back To Having A Good Time

Alternate Universe - Boarding School: This one is all about the hijinks.  I’m not as invested in the idea of houses (a la HP) but love the idea of the school being somewhat isolated (either physically or more metaphorically), the students having to build strong relationships with each other, and teachers being somewhat overwhelmed.

Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence: I’m always down for a good “What If”, and I’ll give some ideas on the specific fandom.

Alternate Universe - Canonically dead character lives: On this one I’m interested in how them being alive changes everything.

Alternate Universe – Regency: This is one of my favorite periods of history.  I love the fashions, the conventions, the plots.  Arranged marriages, debuts at Almacks, country house parties, the Season.

Being Picked Off One by One: I love the tension inherent in this one, especially if they don’t know that the person picking them off is an outsider or not.  (I am pretty good either way)

Can't Stop Thinking About It - A Accidentally Sees B Naked : Pretty much what it says.  Going back to the moment in their head, trying not to think about it when they see them normally, stammery embarrassed moments.

Canon Typical Adventures : Pretty cut and dried.

Characters solving problems like the fucking adults they are : I don’t know who nominated this tag but I loved it.  No flailing or Big Mis, just “we need to do the thing, let’s do the thing” energy.  Calm, competent and collected.

Country House Party: Feel free to go either Regency or Golden Age of Mystery here.  I love groups of people gathered together who don’t go together, being stuck with social formalities, semi-polite snarky shots at each other, and a mystery (optional).

Families - Found Family: I love both the realization of this and the quiet acceptance of it, and social events based on it.

Grooming - hair brushing: I love both the comfort and the sexy-times aspect of this.

Huddling for warmth leads to fantastic sex: Oh no we’ll freeze to death!  (I didn’t nominate it separately but I am definitely down for There Was Only ONE Bed (sleeping bag, couch, etc).  Let’s get out of these clothes.

Risky Public Sex - Almost Caught: The “almost” is key here.  Especially if they are almost close to finishing.  I like the aftermath (stumbling away, missing pieces of clothes, realizing that you left something incriminating behind).

Stranded in Haunted Building: Is it really haunted?  Or is something else going on?  I love the tension, and this combines well with several others.

Trapped together - snowed in: I really like the physical isolation of this one.  Murder She Wrote Season 4 episode “Snow White, Blood Red” and ND/HB SM book The Last Resort are essentially what you’re looking for here.

Sex in a shower or bath: Slippery and sexy – “oh I thought I was all alone” – but I also dig the more comic (but sexy) aspect of shower sex – ooops, I keep slipping…

Finding Someone Sleeping and Putting a Blanket or Coat Over Them: I love the caring aspect of this one, and the small intimacy.

First Time Seeing Partner Naked: Here I really like the “better/more than I expected” aspect here, the wondering description and the “God I’m so lucky” factor.

Intimate soft make outs with one character in the other's lap: The intimacy here is key.  Best employed in a darkened room, maybe waking in the middle of the night after being covered with the blanket….

Vanishing hitchhiker: I’m down for a vanishing hitchhiker in any fandom, any era.  I love the whole part where they don’t realize it’s a ghost until the end.  If you would like to invoke Resurrection Mary, go for it.

Vacation - They Go to Disneyland and Have a Fantastic Time: Really what it says here.  Part of this is because I would like to go to Disneyland myself right now.  Anyway, I love immersing oneself in Disneyland, but would also be down for the wonder of a first visit.  My favorite rides are Haunted Mansion, Jungle Ride, Space Mountain and Small World.  Feel free to combine any of these 4 with a ghost prompt.

Ridiculously Gothic Atmosphere: Foreboding dark corners and secrets!  Family prophecy and ghosts!  A dark threatening estate owner and a plucky heroine determined to save him.  Hidden passages and secret treasures.  Last night I dreamed of Manderley….

Ritual Sex – Public: For the HG/K/Q one, I’m interested in the trappings as well as the actual sex.

Betrayal: The should have known better factor is always good here, rather than the unexpected betrayal.  The “I never thought they would go so far” factor.

Dubcon - Blackmailed/Coerced into sex : See above.  I’d prefer not a lot of detail on the actual sex, more on the aftermath or leading up to it.

Fairy tale wedding: Obviously on this one I mean more like Princess Diana with trappings etc, opposed to an actual fairy tale.  Details, details, details.  Dresses, flowers, trappings, emotions.

Revenge Sex: Again more interested in the before/after, the justification, than the actual sex.

Bored Old Man Faked His Own Death and Left Clues To Frame His Family Members: In other words, what I thought Knives Out was going to be.

Fairy Tail

WB: Script Magic (FT)

WB: Grand Magic Games (FT)

WB: Dragon Slayer Magic (FT)

Levy McGarden, Gajeel Redfox, Freed Justine, Any or No Characters, Original Character(s)

Primarily looking for the following:

1. Grand Magic Games that don't end up in fighting the apocalypse - an actual tournament of skills

2. Script mages - how they do what they do

3. How Script Mages can best support the Dragon Slayers (yes I am a Gale shipper)

See letter for more

So Fairy Tail is a weird fandom for me because there’s a lot of writing and not as much stuff that I like.  But it’s big so there’s less exchanges I can request it in.

GMG – While I enjoyed the Dragon King Festival, I’d really love a GMG where they actually get to compete without the end of the world being on the menu.  I’d love focusing on this for the 3 characters nommed, or pretty much any of the guilds/characters that appear in the arc.  I’m particularly fond of how Fairy Tail has an A and B team, and I like Lamia Scale and Mermaid Heel.  I’d also be down for post-GMG party time!

I’m a big Gale shipper, so feel free to keep that in mind.

I’d love a look at how the script mages do their thing, and peculiarlities around it.  They’re support magic, but it is powerful.  Think about Freed’s traps in the Fantasia arc or in the S-Class, and how Levy  and Evergreen both subvert it.

Nantucket Trilogy - S.M. Stirling

WB: Revenge of William Walker's Side (Nantucket Trilogy)

WB: Alliance with Babylon falls apart (Nantucket Trilogy)

WB: Exploring the 1250 BCE World (Nantucket Trilogy)

WB: Tensions between uptimers and downtimers (Nantucket Trilogy)

WB: Nantucketers are the Sea Peoples (Nantucket Trilogy)

Kashtiliash, Althea Walker, Kathryn Hollard, Doreen Arnstein, Ohotolarix, Original Character(s)

Primarily looking for the following:

1. As the trilogy closes, Althea Walker and Ohotolarix are riding into Central Asia. I don't think Walker's daughter stays down for long. How does she come back? Do they mount any attempts to find her?

2. It's always hinted that Kathryn is going to find herself more torn between her roles as Queen of Babylon and Nantucketer - show me more of that. I don't want her and Kashtiliash torn apart but I am good with some angst and a compromise. Or, what drives the stake in the alliance's heart? How does Kathryn feel about being on the wrong side

3. What else is out there?

4. Tensions go along with alliance with Babylon failing, but this I see as more of the little things that make it difficult for the two groups to get along. Maybe look at the experiences of downtime students who come to Nantucket - everyone can't be happy and welcoming.

5. Do any of their historians ever realize that the Nantucketers are LITERALLY the Sea Peoples? Are there conspiracy theories? Do they find some group to be the Sea Peoples?

So like, I just want MORE.  What happens next?  I’m never going to stop being salty about 10+ emberverse books and nothing more for this trilogy.

I love Kathryn/Kash and their adaptation to each other’s world.

Sea Peoples.  The Sea Peoples.  I can’t believe I just realized it last year.

Generally I like to include Odikweos (and you can add him if you like) but I’d totally be down for Kathryn and Doreen talking shop.

Dungeons and Dragons (Cartoon)

WB: Royalty in the Realm (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)

WB: Portals that don't lead back to the Amusement Park (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)

WB: Other Parties in the Realm (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)

Original Character(s), Ramoud, Sheila | The Thief, Eric | The Cavalier, Dungeon Master

1. I'd really love something lush that shows a royal court our adventurers come upon. Maybe Eric or Sheila are kidnapped by a princess/prince? Maybe show us Ramoud's court? Or show us a historical one of a queen from the Hall of Bones?

2. How do the portals that don't lead home make them feel? Maybe a portal that appears to go home but just takes them elsewhere in the Realm? You can make this one a little darker if you like but eventually save them.

3. There have to have been other parties that DM brought through. What happened to them? Are they still trapped in the Realm? Might they join forces?

Pretty much what it says.  If you want to channel a fairy tale or something similar (Sleeping Beauty or perhaps Princess and the Pea) go for it.

I’m totally down for 1000+ words of description, scene-setting fluff.  Or a Back to the Realm story.

I do love Ramoud so pleas include him.

Star Wars Legends - All Media Types

WB: Victory Celebrations (Star Wars Legends AMT)

WB: Memorializing the Rebellion (Star Wars Legends AMT)

WB: Rogue Squadron (Star Wars Legends AMT)

Wedge Antilles, Teneniel Djo, Mirax Terrik, Biggs Darklighter, Original Character(s)

1. I'm really fascinated by the victory celebrations and how they feel - what was the party like on Yavin? How did people who'd been at Yavin feel at Endor (:cough: Wedge :cough:)? What kind of anniversary celebrations might they have?

2. How do they memorialize and teach the Rebellion - now, maybe a generation from now? (Feel free to ignore the Del Rey books and Sequel Trilogy and spin off your own future.)

3. Rogue Squadron - how it evolves as our Rogues leave and move on? Training? Urban legends about the Rogues?

Give me a good party or some introspection.  Toss in a mention of Rogue One.  I realize Teneniel seems like a mismatch, but I’d love to see her POV on some of these topics.

For the Rogues, maybe a Dathomir fighter pilot?  Also down for hijinks and pranks on the newbies.

Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold

WB: Winterfair Traditions (Vorkosigan Saga)

WB: Barrayaran Funeral Offerings (Vorkosigan Saga)

WB: Barrayaran Empresses (Vorkosigan Saga)

WB: Barrayaran Diplomatic Corps (Vorkosigan Saga)

Any Barrayaran Countess, Tej Arqua Vorpatril, Ivan Vorpatril, Aral Vorkosigan, Alys Vorpatril, Original Character(s)

1. I love Winterfair and glittery social occasions.

2. Interested in traditions and how these are carried out - public vs. private.

3. What have the Empresses done in the past? I'm okay with throwing tea parties or leading Armies. How do they interact with the Countesses?

4. Life abroad for Barrayaran diplomats? Prefer focus on Ivan and Tej - maybe show them back home for Winterfair and do some compare/contrast?

I’m totally down for 1000+ words of fluffy glittery Vor socializing at Winterfair in Vorbarr Sultana.  Traditions that play into this events.  Vorish ladies being Vorish (maybe seen thru Tej’s eyes?).

Or funeral offerings, private v. public.  Do people burn offerings at a public memorial to Aral perhaps?  How do families feel about that?

Sorry this is late, but I've been AFK due to family issues.  I had to complete my signup at last minute before I was in a land of little Internet access.

My general preferences are here.  Generally for this exchange I am 100% down for fluff, whether sweet or sexy.  Whatever you write, I'm going to love it!

My DNWs are graphic/explicit/sexual violence, nominated character death, cruelty to children/animals.

ETA: Later added requests due to no one biting on my pinch hit.

  •                  Dungeons and Dragons (Cartoon) (10)

  1. Group: Eric "the Cavalier"/Sheila "the Thief" (D&D Cartoon)
  2. Eric | The Cavalier (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)
  3. Sheila | The Thief (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)
  4. Terri | The Girl Who Dreamed Tomorrow (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)
  5. Tiamat | The Dragon (Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon)
  1. Being the only one who remembers alternate timeline(s)
  2. Canon Characters Meet Too Many Meddlers from the Future
  3. Castaways in Time
  4. Castaways in Time Have Chance to Go Home
  5. Dimension Hopping to Find a Timeline That's Not Doomed
  6. Portal Leads to Another Time
  7. Portal Only Open Temporarily
  8. Time Travel due to a Magical Artefact
  9. Time Travel Through Being Under a Cursed/Magical/Mystical Sleep (As in Sleeping Beauty)
  10. Time Traveler Visits Multiple Possible Futures While Trying to Get Home
  11. Trapped in a Doomed Timeline
  12. Trapped in the Ancient Past
  13. Travelling back to the past to warn younger self of events to come
So looking for maybe a story where one of them can travel back to warn their past self, or stories where they deal with time travelers.  The magical artifact one seems like a natural.  Terri of course is a natural for a time travel story - Bobby can appear but I don’t need him.  The portals that lead other places/experiencing other timelines seems like it could be good, especially if there’s a dawning “this place isn’t right”vibe.
  •                  Star Trek: The Original Series (11)

  1. Group: Spock/Nyota Uhura (ST:TOS)
  2. Mirror Nyota Uhura (ST:TOS)
  3. Nyota Uhura (ST:TOS)
  4. Spock (ST:TOS)

  1. Time Travel as Tourism
  2. Time Travel for Historical Research
  3. Time Traveler Visits Multiple Possible Futures While Trying to Get Home
  4. Trapped in a Doomed Timeline
  5. Travelling back to the past to warn younger self of events to come
  • For the time travel as tourism, I’d prefer to see them DEALING with the time tourists.  Historical research into Vulcan’s past perhaps?  Multiple futures could involve the mirror crew, as could doomed timeline.  For warning of things to come, I’d like to see an an older (say maybe STVI or slightly later Uhura) warn TOS TV era Uhura about what’s going to go down?  Not to change it (unless you want to work that into the doomed timeline and ST IV) but just warning or frank conversation with herself.
  •                  Babylon 5 (10)

  1. Susan Ivanova (Babylon 5)
  2. Na'Toth (Babylon 5)
    1. Being the only one who remembers alternate timeline(s)
    2. Dimension Hopping to Find a Timeline That's Not Doomed
    3. Time Traveler Visits Multiple Possible Futures While Trying to Get Home
    4. Trapped in a Doomed Timeline
    5. Travelling back to the past to warn younger self of events to come
I’ve been watching B5 again lately and would love some more time travel.  If you want to build off B4 go for it.  For remembering alternate timelines, I’d go with Susan.  For warning younger self, either Susan or Na’Toth.  Delenn, Sinclair, G’Kar could all appear but I’d love focus on Susan or Na’Toth or both.  If you want to work Susan/Marcus into the warning younger self and maybe giving them a chance, feel free

So, hopefully you're one of those writers who checks back obsessively because...I'm sorry.  I really did think I had already updated this.  If you've already settled on something, keep on with it and I'll love it!  But just in case.

My preferences on fanfic are here.

My DNWs are graphic/explicit/sexual violence, nominated character death, cruelty to animals/children
