Let's see... first there was the briefing at 0630 on mind-numbingly boring stuff (APFT, weight control, tape test) that we somehow survived. Next NCODP (Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development) is going to be more fun, however... Open Forum for Things You Think Are Jacked Up. I have a list.

Then I had a nice little workout at the gym. Then I got to go to Barnes and Noble and pick up a gift card for my mother's birthday gift. (And, oh yeah, books for me.)

Then I had work at 1400. Verrrrrrrrrrry slow night.

Now I get to relax, watch the indignant emails about my F/LJ stuff (for the Joeland crew) pour in, and catch up on ESPN.

Nice day, ey? I hate it when work is slow. I'd almost rather it be hectic because at least it goes faster then.

Heehee... saw some of those posts, disguised as shippers trying to be polite. They don't want to be a bitch about it, but they don't want to act too insanely shippery either.

*amused*

On your fic...

Anytime you get people fired up over a fic, it's a good thing. It's good to be reminded that our favorite couple- or mine at least ;)-isn't perfect and that there isn't always an easy resolution. My understanding is that it was a one shot piece- no making up, no resolution, no closure, no happy ever after, ad nauseum. That's what makes it so great. And if you did that whole "I can't wait to see how you get them back together" or "I can't wait to see how he explains this" then you lose the effectiveness of the whole thing. In a group that has a very large and very vocal F/LJ fandom, it takes guts to publish something like this. I'm glad you did it.

Yes, work is much better when it's hectic. No hope for that tonight either.

As far as the fic... like I said, I may write more. It won't be a "Ohhh, I forgive you honey" fic either.

I just can't believe it has 3 times as many reviews as Electra....

Hey, I liked it!! But then I don't care for either of them. And I like Electra, mostly. I skip the parts that will burn out my mind. (and you all know what I'm talking about.)

write more...write more....write more....

so I can mess with my hormones (and if you knew me you would know how terrible an idea that is) or I can take a chance on hurting my knees....or maybe I could just lose that damn weight and do the exercises that the therapist gave me to strenghten them in the first place....what to do, what to do....
