So pretty much, as long as the story involves Marlena, the Astronaut Queen, I am there.

So I was sort of expecting to have to defend this one, because He-Man and Space Swap? But the facts are pretty clear.

Marlena Glenn is an astronaut from Earth who crashes on Eternia, falls for the king, and never goes home. Oh yeah, and her kids are superheroes.

I love her.

Let me lead with saying I have seen the trailer and am 1000% in on it, especially if you have seen the vid where they cut the trailer with the 1980s cartoon opening music and narration.  So if you want to be inspired by that GO RIGHT AHEAD.

There is an episode where Eternia and Earth make contact, but it's not the best. So give me a better one! Maybe some sort of rover/probe/space machine ends up on Eternia (yes, I would totally love a happy ending for a little space machine whose battery is running low and it's dark) and this leads to them making contact? I'd love to see Marlena at least visit home, or have vistors from home, or somehow open up communications.  I especially like the idea of little space machines. Man-at-Arms could fix and improve it! I would also love the idea that Earth has been looking for Marlena. I'd also love a hint of the two of them sharing mechanical skills?

Or if you want to go a different route, what constellations do the Eternians see? What are their stories? (Maybe one could be the Tiger? or the Champion? or the Falcon? or Duncan's Hammer?) Is Sol visible from Eternia?

The space corridors, one of the really useful plot devices that...could have been used to send a young astronaut home? Is there one that can reach Earth? Pretty open here.  Or is there a reason the Sorceress never offers that up?

I am a Man-At-Arms/Sorceress shipper.

I have seen Revelations and Revolution but not the reboot, so if you want to play on that I am in.  Obviously the space machine would be more of a probe than a rover, but that was Opportunity-inspired.  I'm good with something more introspective/romantic with the constellations one, and I would enjoy seeing Marlena get a message from home or even the chance to visit.

Earth and Eternia make real contact.

Prompts:

The Lions are alive.  The Lions are alive.  Whether with Lion Spirits or the spirits of their former/first pilots, there is something more there than just a machine.  Tell me about it.  Allura communing with the spirit of Blue Lion could be fun, or can she feel her father’s spirit in Black Lion?

I really like the idea that the lions have a spiritual component. There’s a great take on it here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/114508. The idea of the lions adapting to pilots and vice versa is a very interesting one.

Royal ball.  Give me some fancy dresses and dancing and intrigues.  Or maybe a royal wedding?

Sven/Romelle. Quiet moments make me happy (a sweet quiet moment? A sexy quiet moment?). They’re my OTP in this one, I love how they’re both healing from trauma in their own ways, and how they need each other.  You can cause them some more trauma as long as all ends well.  What if Sven didn’t drop off the team?

 

Canon Divergence AU of your choice.  Allura as the pilot of Black Lion?  Her mother alive?  Allura/Lance become a thing? Feel free to toss in dimensional travel.  Dimension Travel - alternate dimensions where canon events went differently – Feel free to use any of the Canon Divergence ideas or if you really know this one, a little Beast King Go-Lion inspired reality?  I think a mirror universe deal would be very powerful to explore with Allura – a deal where her parents are still alive, but she has to discover the hard way they aren’t the good guys.  Sounds like a job for Lance to rescue her…

 

Pilots have previous connections – Maybe it’s not coincidence that they all end up there?  Maybe they’re selected for it (even if they don’t know why – not a big Voltron Force fan but the ep where they find the old ship that thinks Keith is his grandfather – that’s where I’m going) or maybe it’s coincidence.  Or combine with the inheritance one!

 

Big Damn Rescue (with a kiss).   Either couple is good for this one.  Why do they need to be rescued?

 

Allura/Lance would be a great fling, and maybe something more?  Maybe it’s growing but they don’t quite see it….  Lance has always been my favorite.  I have a weakness for smartasses.

 

Feel free to tackle the concept that the Arusian characters probably all have a case of PTSD.

So in case it’s not obvious, Queen Marlena in He-Man is my favorite character AND she’s an astronaut and she would probably enjoy meeting this crew. Marlena and Amanda could trade some advice?  Do they know who she is?  Is Starfleet from a different Earth?  Just roll with it.

Adam/Castaspella – I just love the vibe these two have with each other, how Adam doesn’t have to hide on Eternia.

SNW crossovers involving Ael: I want to see how she would interact with this crew.  Obviously the timelines don’t add up but I am totally here for crazy time-travel multiverse.

Elizabeth & Una (include La’an if you like) – The no fun badasses get together thru time travel.  Bonus points if you work in Mac/Shelby and Una/Chris.

La’an is on Kirk’s Enterprise when they encounter Khan Noonien Singh.  I’m very interested in this, especially since she has not killed him once…but might think differently in this round.  Also feel free to have him try and exploit their tie.  Could be an AU.  If you’d like to play with the La’an meets Khan in Space Seed with La’an/James, I am (obviously) here for it, whether they have been together or that’s why they get together.  Or La’An/Spock or La’An/Spock/James, my newest OT3.

I would totally be down for a story where La'an is on the ship when Khan gets picked up. Obviously there would be no BS trying to figure out who they were, whether they could trust them, but how would he react to her?  I find it really intriguing.  La’an being on the Enterprise when they pick up Khan (who’s clearly a known baddie) – how does that go?  Maybe they don’t drop him off at Ceti Alpha V?

I love this show. So much! I didn't expect to like La'an so much but here we are. I also did not expect these ships, but now I need them.

I am personally on the SNW doesn’t have to lead to our TOS train – I am totally okay with assuming it spins out/plays out differently. If you want to get inspired by TOS episodes, go right ahead.

So Season 3 changed a lot for me – adding La’An/Spock and La’An/Spock/James to my ship list.  I know they’re going to disappoint me at the end of this show, but it doesn’t have to lead to The Original Series.  I have a whole rant about things they could have done better on that front, but suffice to say – don’t feel bound by that!  Give them a different future or just focus on now.

If you want to include La’An/Spock in the alternate timeline, go for it!

Pike/Una:  I ship these two so hard.  I am a lifelong shipper for these two.  Hook me up with some thing good – sweet and/or sexy!  I’ve been a Pike/Number One shipper since the first time I saw The Cage (in the 90s, I think) and I want to see how these two would play it.  I’m totally here for an AU after the comet episode (they’re so close why didn’t you kiss?). They need a clue brick.

I really want something where both Noonien-Singh siblings survive.  Bonus points if he is on Farragut with James!
