Alternate Universe - Romantic Fairytale Retelling – Exactly what it sounds like.  If you want to go vaguely Tudor/Regency/Victorian influences, I am here for it.

 

Canon Divergence AU – I’m a fan of this in general, obviously here I’m specifically here for how it makes the fluffy pairing possible.

 

Character A had a secret admirer that keeps delivering gifts but doesn’t know it’s Character B – Obviously please no stalker vibes, but I like the whole curiosity about who is sending the gifts and trying to catch them in the act.

 

Fake/Pretend Relationship – Here for the fake to real pipeline, possibly faking a relationship in the moment to convinvce an unwanted hitter-on to STOP but then it just grows.

 

Leaving Notes in Books – Whether it starts intentionally or accidentally, I love this sneaky way to communicate. 

 

Not The Pair Everyone Expected – I am a sucker for the couples that don’t seem obvious or seem to be extra “opposites-attract”.

 

Picking Out Clothes Together – There’s an intimacy to this I really enjoy.

 

Romantic Fluff – Pretty wide open here, but I like to lean towards the romantic/intimate – quiet moments on dark nights, stealing moments alone, people just being romantic.

 

Your Partner Draping Their Jacket Over Your Shoulders  - I generally prefer this for het couples, but the whole feeling of his warmth/smelling cologne etc on wearing the jacket.  Really love it with formal dress but unexpected cold/rain is good too.  Especially if you then get to notice how he looks in shirtsleeves/tie.

 

Vacation – Enjoying being alone on a romantic vacation is the vibe we want here.

 

Perfect Gift for Your Partner – I like both ends of this – the hunting for the perfect gift for your partner, your partner getting the gift.

 

Some Broken Things Can't Be Fixed Only Maintained – I’m a major SNW fan and S2E8 nails this about PTSD.  It doesn’t ever get fixed, you just get to a point where it’s managed/maintained.

 

Telling a child a fairytale; it's based on canonical events/backstory – I don’t know who suggested this but I LOVE it, especially if the kids think it’s a fairytale and the couple can have that moment of connection.

 

Enjoying a day on the beach – Beaches are nice on sunny days, and when you’re all alone at night…

 

Established Relationship – I like the ease, the comfort, the intimacy.

 

Flower Crowns – I just like them.  Making them, wearing them, kissing someone when you put it on them, having to pick up the pieces of the crown after…

For Charlie/Janine, I’m very here for secret admirer, fake/pretend, notes in books, not the pair, fluff, jacket.  I love them (jock and the smart girl, not that Charlie is not smart) and am here for their younger siblings going “really?”

I’d be totally down to have these two couples in a story together.  Either would be good for the beach, canonically, and I would love a big formal Winterfair dress up event to play out a few.  Telling the fairytale would be good for both.

You cannot go wrong with a Return to the Realm story for this one.  I’m okay with Eric/Sheila falling for each other on the return,as opposed to having already been in a relationship.

 

For Eric & Rahmoud, feel free to combine with Eric/Sheila, but I really love how he and Eric connected, and how Eric seems to need a family more than the rest of them.  For the romantic couples, they can both apply across the board.

So these are all pretty obvious (not really touched on in the cartoon, but you can’t tell me they don’t have a little  PTSD with the whole societal collapse) but for seashells, I think it could be fun to do something with that and Galadria.  The whole episode with her biggest fear being a tidal wave?  I feel like that was less a nightmare and more something that happened.  But I love that the gruff guy gets the girl.
