The modem goes back tomorrow. There is obviously something wrong with it as the computer keeps telling me I am connected, but I get no Internet. So, that's what I'll be doing with my lunch tomorrow. Luckily we have Net access in the barracks itself, but I'm just not going to be as active until this thing is straightened out. Hopefully they can switch modems with me, and that will fix the problem.

I am having similar problems and can't figure out exactly what it is. It is very frustrating.

*crosses fingers* I had a similar problem recently. My modem bit the dust, and our phone company wanted to send me a new one... three days later I got no modem, but a new DSL splitter (while the one I have was still working perfectly fine). Took me almost twenty minutes to find proper help on the hotline... End of story was one week without internet at home for me and the purchase of a new modem (since the warranty for the old one was up).

I hope you'll have better luck than I did back than...
