May. 31st, 2005 11:30 pmYay! We did stuff in class today, which means time went by a little faster. Not much, but a little. It's picking up some, and our opening briefing went well, for the amount of prep time. For the indepth country brief, I'm hoping to get a fun country. Georgia (Gruzia). Armenia. Chechnya. The Ukraine (hey, I have visual aids). Okay, so maybe they aren't fun countries, but interesting ones.
Came home, went and walked a mile and a half (we did fun sprints for PT this morning), picked up my now-starched uniform so I'll be all ready for the big day tomorrow.
Reading: Polished off the light Regency romp I was reading (I always like it when the bluestocking gets her man) and started a non-fiction history round-up type thing called They Went Whistling by Barbara Holland. The title comes from the old proverb about whistling women and crowing hens - how they come to no good. It's a good book, and the author's voice is sarcastic and entertaining, yet insightful.
Excellent story (the third submission this go round! I am impressed.) by Vanessa. This one has a broader range than the others, and it really was great. Go read!

Yours was great too :) It was so sweet how Wayne thought of Courtney, and how he felt about visiting the grave. It's great to see his human side. :)
