I really enjoyed reading it, and found it to be well in character. Your thoughts?

It wasn't what I was expecting from the summary, and it had punch. I really enjoyed it, and liked that for those of us who are long-time series readers, you should know just before Mark does who is standing duty.

And I'm not really a fan of Mark or Bothari, so for the story to work for me says something. It has just that right air, for lack of a better word.

Sounds very similar to my reaction. I'm not a Mark or Bothari fan, in particular, but that story "worked" for me too.
