I've been lazy and not in the mood to update. Sooo.....
* Finished Elizabeth and Georgiana. It was a pretty good book, very evenhanded, and I thought fair to both women and their relationship. I need to scout around and see if there is a book on "Hart" (William and Georgiana Devonshire's heir, so nicknamed because he held the title of Marquess of Hartington) because he seemed like an intriguing character, from how he shows up in these pages.
* Currently reading a toss-away Regency to clear out the brain before I tackle the next book.
* One final down. One to go on Saturday morning, after the Race for the Cure.
* Army fun tomorrow at six, then grocery shopping. Then, maybe, some more sleep before PT at noon and working swing. Looking forward to lazing around on Saturday.
* Still have 3 history essays to write. Not too bad.
* Class A inspection today (wool jackets, etc) so naturally it was 90-some degrees.
I hope now that she is at peace, that Terri Schiavo's family (yes, despite the way the news is phrasing it, family does include her husband) can find some peace.
I notice the Pope appears to be failing. It's kind of scary to think that we may have a new one in the not-so-far-away future. He's been the Pope my entire life, and I do wonder who will succeed him and what direction he will steer the Church in.
I plan to poke around on amazon this weekend, but perhaps Marna or her Twin could point me in a right direction - any decent history-type books about historical love-triangles/three sided relationships? Both in general or about specific groups. I already have the aforementioned book, as well as the newish one about Henri, Diane de Poitiers, and Catherine Medici by HRH Princess Michael of Kent. Looking at expanding the women and families of history collection.
I should be on YIM Saturday/Sunday, for the people I haven't chatted with lately.
Time to run off and relax.

Date: 2005-04-04 06:12 pm (UTC)It's called The Serpent and the Moon, by HRH Princess Micheal of Kent. I have it in HC and have not seen a PB. The ladies are both ancestresses of the author, and she seems fairly evenhanded towards them (although slightly more biased towards Diane). It's an excellent book.
