The LRC was much fun. I have to go drop the film off tomorrow. No one was seriously injured (except for some pride) and the sunburns will fade by next week. First Sergeant brought out his *gorgeous* and *friendly* Malamute, so we all made friends.
For the uninitiated, LRCs are more of a problem solving deal than an obstacle course. However, some physical skill is required, along with teamwork. They also provide many opportunities for pictures that will make us snicker later.
The test did save, and I got some more hours done, with the plan to do more this weekend.
I am currently reading Carolly Erickson's Our Tempestuous Day and quite enjoying it. But then, I'm fond of the Regency period.

Date: 2005-03-11 05:25 am (UTC)It's actually a brief history (popular history/overview type) of the Regency. Not to in depth, but more of an orientation to some of the issues of the day. It's good, and MUCH better (IMO) than Erickson's biographies. I've tried the ones of Queen Victoria and Tsarina Alexandra (Nikolai II's wife) and they were both too ... overdramatized.
I like some of the Signet and Zebra small Regencies, and I have Heyer's Toll-Gate on deck.
