desertvixen: woman reading a book (reading)

We visited Barnes and Noble to be prepared for the trip to Maine (and the three-hour layover in the Boston airport).

1) There is a posthumous Molly Ivins book (with Lou Dubose), called The Bill of Wrongs.  It looks to be good.  I think it will be first on the list.

2) There is another Sourcebooks Georgette Heyer reprint out, this time of Cotillion.  Unfortunately, the site (http://www.sourcebooks.com) does not list upcoming releases.

I was going to pick up Red Chrysanthemum, but realized that I have missed a Sano Ichiro book.  So that will have to wait.

And a new Laurell K. Hamilton faerie book is out.

Posthumous Molly? I need a fix from my beloved St. Molly of Austin.

I am impatiently waiting for Friday.

You were actually the first person I thought of when I saw it...

Thanks for the heads up; I would have missed it.

Yes.

I like the Sano mysteries, but in the sense of, "Oh, there's one I haven't read", not "OMG, must buy now!"

<< (and the three-hour layover in the Boston airport). >>

Try five hours in JFK (from Denver) which turned into more like TEN, because I missed my connection to Burlington VT, and had to cool my heels waiting for the next one.

And why did I miss it? Because I put on my CD player to drown out the twit waiting for her flight back to Minnesota from Florida, and crabbing at her 2yrold, expecting him to understand stuff like he was 12. Clearly one of those people who just "loved" having a baby *coughMommy's the center of attentioncough* but quickly became entirely overwhelmed by the reality of actual parenthood. You know the type. Long story short, in trying to not listen to her, I missed my boarding call. As I was still working retail at the time, I couldn't march over and tell the dimwit that I hoped when she and her family moved to Florida next year (this was July '03) that her little bundle of joy started carting home messy, *dir-ty*, GERMY snakes, frogs and lizards by the *hundredweight*. And I sincerely hope the little darling has done exactly that!

Luckily for me, when my mother accidentally called my cell, I had finally arrived in Burlington, and to this day she doesn't know what happened! But then again, I wasn't traveling with a 1yrold. Next summer, when Mom, me, Sis & Hurricane (will be 3-go-4) go back for the Fair!

BTW, you forgot to mention next month's new JD Robb ...

I know it's coming out, though. On the 6th. Not sure if I am going to pick it up then or wait until Brian leaves.

Please, no long layovers. Pretty please. Not with the toddlers.
