So, I recieved a survey from the DCCC (Democratic Congressional Committee) and put it in my to-read and act on pile of mail.

Well, today I read it. And didn't get any further than the first question before I got so irritated that I almost ripped the thing up.

The first question is a "rank priorities" question. Nowhere on this list of priorities is reproductive rights.

So I did not rip it up, but crossed them all out and handwrote in "reproductive rights".

However, if my reproductive rights are not a priority, then they get no vote from me.

And I wrote that as well in the comments.

I've done things like that. I get calls from people doing surveys on political issues fairly often. Their questions about what my priorities are always seem to leave out the things that I think are important while including whatever the latest fad topic of concern is. I'm concerned about people's rights (reproductive, Constitutional and just plain human) and the environment. Without those things, the other issues they offer as priorities often don't mean much.
