Ick, Work Tomorrow
Dec. 21st, 2004 09:29 pmFunny how the rest of the week can drag out, but the 2 days I am off just fly by. :)
The den is neat and tidy and awaiting the arrival of the husband. Well, almost. I have a little tidying up saved for tomorrow after work. First, I'll have to fit the 20 minutes of language time that I still need to accomplish in somewhere. Maybe I can sneak off for 20 without W noticing my absence. Probably not. Since I'm not in the AF, my hours didn't get cut in half for the month.

I found an interim beta reader, now I need to decide if his opinion actually matters. I think he pointed out one thing that might be a problem, but could be more throughly addressed in a later chap. <BTW, sykoamazon, there's no heresy in this one.>
Looking very much forward to Thursday (and I'm sure my coworkers/minions are looking forward to it as well). Brian arrives before lunch, we have plans to dress up and go out for dinner, and then, I have to work on Christmas Eve. I'm on standby Christmas Day and Dec 26 since *some people* have to take leave. (Raeyn, that would be *you*. Just teasing.)
I did make time today to go and get Evil Split Ends trimmed off, so now the hair is all healthy and happy. They only had to trim off about 1/2 inch, so it was doing pretty nicely. I had to stand up so that they could trim the ends, which I found pretty entertaining. The shampoo part of it was worth the money ($20) all by itself. I'm considering having the layers reshaped, but... I hate making any commitments that involve scissors. I like my hair long (and Brian would cry).
I am rambling, so it's obviously bed time.

Date: 2004-12-22 03:32 am (UTC)I actually am *scared* to cut it that short. Short hair and I do not go well together, and I find it much easier to deal with braids or hair down than if it was short and I would have to do stuff to it.

Date: 2004-12-22 03:22 am (UTC)*blows raspberry* Didn't take leave last year, and probably won't take it next year ;D Just playing the rotation the best I can.
If that makes any sense.. I'm not quite awake, alive, or willing to be here (being, getting ready for work).

God help me, I won't be here next year. I'm just one of the people who has gotten screwed everytime they rotate the schedule.
"But next year, next year, you'll have all the holidays you worked off...." "No, because you'll change it again."
Not mad, just... resigned to the tortures of our workplace. Murphy is actually the commander, not Col B.
But you know that.
