It's my first real NFL Sunday this year. None of the others have I been at leisure to just watch the games.

Even better, got to watch the Detroit Lions play because they're up against Tampa and this is Georgia.

OH MY GOD, WHAT THE HELL ARE THE REFS DOWN IN TAMPA SMOKING? Nothing irritates me more than bad f-ing calls that cost another team, the game. He had his butt on the ground and they want to quibble about possession. WTF, over??

Yes, there was much gnashing of teeth, and hissing, and swearing.

I'm sure I'm not the only Lions fan out there who's pissed off.

Oh yeah, and I'm starting to be a lot less of a Harrington fan. (Joey, not Honor)

I know what you mean, don't forget the lost interception due to what turned out to be not interference, that lead to a Tampa touchdown.

I dunno, Joey made some bad, too-quick checkdown passes early... but both Roy Williams and Charlie Rogers had balls go through their hands. No excuse for that kind of garbage, not if they want to be elite receivers in this league. Joey looked nicely angry a couple times, after his passes were dropped, and that has to translate into something... pleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease...

The defense, especially, stepped it up nicely after the embarassment in Chicago two weeks ago. They need to keep up that momentum, and the offense needs to follow their lead.

I'll happily take these two losses if they help the team crystallize.
