I have a lot of thoughts on this show that have sort of built up.  While we probably matched on it, don’t feel bad if we didn’t.  (I’ve checked the signup summary.)

If you want to play around with the Amelia Mon character, I would be RIGHT THERE for that!  I see her as being knd of grown-up Nancy Drew (the character design is really like Bonita Granville’s Nancy Drew in movies).

I am 1000% on the SNW has started its own continuity train.  (If you want to cross over with TOS, I’ll read it!)

I am here for an AU where both Noonien-Singh siblings survive.  How does that impact things?  Feel free to combine with La’an/James, and maybe put him on the Farragut.  If you go that route, I’d be interested in how Manu and Sam get along.  I feel like they could be friends.

Future Pike’s doomed timeline – if you want to look at how Kirk’s adventures would have gone differently with Pike and crew in charge, be my guest.  Maybe let’s not kill people off though…especially Spock?  James/La’an appear to be a thing here as well – tell me about it.  What all was happening in that alternate timeline before we got dropped into it, or after we leave it.  This would be good for La’an/James.

La'an/James get together in S2E9: AU or continuation of what we’ve seen – after all we know Carol and Kirk don’t work out…. I lean towards the AU though. Interested in seeing how his Tarsus 4 background plays in. What Happened in the Alternate Timeline before S1E10 would also be a great place for La’an and James to hook up again.  AUs where Carol Marcus is not a thing, maybe?

Joint Mission.  Something involving a colony welfare check would provide a great backbone for a story for a couple.  TBH, I love these.  I am here for the colony needs a rescue.  I am here for the colony is shady AF.  I am here for pollen that makes everyone stupidly happy.  Maybe they even go to rescue a Klingon colony?  Is the colony in trouble or are they the trouble?  Or what is it like when the ships get together?  Do the crews have exchanges and rivalries?

Gorn continuation: Erica & M'Benga & Sam & La'an: What happens after S3E10 in that three month time skip?  I didn’t request this BUT if you want to work into one of the ships, go for it.  OR if you want to go with something else for after the cliffhanger in S2E10, see my notes about that:

 So once we realized what had happened, my only thought was how the Gorn captured themselves the wrong group of people… How does that work out for them? Feel free to include people developing coping mechanisms that aren’t the healthiest (if M’Benga channeled the Elysian Kingdom I would be there for that). Obviously want this crew to live.

La’an & Sam: Interested in how they interact. Play it into La’an wanting to weasel out more info about James or not.  Also, when does Sam realize he is never getting away from little brother?

Una/Pike AU: I’m totally here for an AU after the comet episode (they’re so close why didn’t you kiss?). They need a clue brick.

For both couples, feel free to play with the S1E10 stuff or go with something else, especially if you tie into either of the other dimension travel ones.  I’d love one where they hook up after realizing how good their counterparts are together.  Or maybe an AU where Chris did pick an Eve?

I am watching Season 3 and will be current.  So far I am enjoying it but S3E8 looks to be cringy AF.  Tell me about the three month time skip, La’an dancing, people dealing their PTSD, the Klingon zombie deal, and the likelihood that whatever possessed Gamble is still lurking on the ship.  Also not a nominated character but please feel free to include Pelia being crazy and bringing back past tech.

La’an/Spock – I am still cooking how I feel on that one, so did not request it.

La’an/James/Spock – That look gave me some serious OT3 vibes and I am not really an OT3 person.  I didn’t nominate it BUT if you want to write it, I am OPTING IN.

That one scene from canon but make it sexier  - The end of the comet episode in S1 (the kiss is RIGHT THERE) or James/La’an.  The end of S1E2 or S2E3 is what I’d love here.

Essentially, stop pining, solve your issues, and start kissing.  I LOVE those field jackets they have on the show, they look heavy and warm and comfy, and good to share.

Of all the new Trek things, this is my favorite. 

MY S2 thoughts: So let’s talk about Season 2 peeps!  The Hippocratic Oath is fuzzy on the subject of kneecaps and throats!  Yay Una is back!  No, they’re still pushing the Pike/Batel thing (I am not into it, it is not my thing, why does she never eat the fabulous food?). La’an and star-crossed doomed time-travel love.  I fly the ship (on Alpha shift).  Why is Spock eating bacon?  Why is Sam Kirk suddenly missing from the cleanest science lab in history? We finally meet the real Kirk!  Kirk meets Spock (and Uhura doesn’t know this is her life for the next 50 years).  Cartoon crossover!  M’Benga gets away with murder (and can we please leave the PTSD crew ALONE?). All systems stable!  Why are we singing?  Who’s going to be Gorn chow?  WHAT DO YOU MEAN “TO BE CONTINUED”?

Just inject it into my veins. After sitting out several of the newer shows, I dove into this one and please just give me more more more. I think the things I REALLY want to know is, what all was happening in that alternate timeline before we got dropped into it.

I really love this new show, although I am wondering about continuity but NOT REALLY CARING I LOVE THIS CREW.

So originally, I started watching SNW for Una, because I am a long-time Number One fan.  Then I loved La’an as well, and while I’m not a fan of Batel WITH Pike, I don’t dislike her as much as I did.  It helps when they flesh things out. This is really my newest favorite thing. Especially James/La'an, who I didn't expect to like so much. So we did noms and all before Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow aired and if you’re watching SNW, you’ll understand why I had all the feels about La’an/James.  I’m good with using the UEF Kirk instead of the “real” Kirk, or with having that influence the La’an/James relationship.  That episode really blew me away I’m always down for a what-if involving Una and the Illyrians, or the universe where Pike/Number One hook up.  Or La’an/James because that ep left me wrecked.

Long time Pike/Number One shipper, Like ever since I saw The Cage..  Pike/Una:  I ship these two so hard.  I am a lifelong shipper for these two.  Hook me up with something good – sweet and/or sexy!  I’ve been a Pike/Number One shipper since the first time I saw The Cage (in the 90s, I think) and I want to see how these two would play it.

I have read the comic, it was okay.  The book was a no for me.

 

Chalion Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold

So originally I wasn't a huge fan of this book, and then we got into the Weald books, and then I reread this one - I think maybe I just wasn't in the right season of life to get Ista.

But I love Foix/Annaliss and I was disappointed that there was not a Big Damn Kiss to top off the rescue.

I read Paladin of Souls when I was too young to appreciate it, I think, but I always loved these two.  I forgot they only got some flirtation so give me missing scenes or further adventures!

These two need a big damn kiss (rescues will NOT be in short supply in their positions, I think). 

The two of them getting together, punctuated by demon crises? How does Ferda respond, since he very definitely was eyeing Liss?

Feel free to include Ista/Illvin as background or bad influences to Ista’s lady-in-waiting.  Down for encounters with an older Penric/Desdemona’s next rider as well.  I just want them to get together.  Feel free to take them to Court if needed

How is time flowing differently? How is it affecting them?

What happens if they go into a portal that doesn't go home? I am here for a subtly wrong one that takes a little time to notice...

I have quite a bit of Eric/Sheila fic you can podfic.

Return to the Realm.  If you need a framework, this is a great option.  You cannot go wrong with a Return to the Realm story for this one.  I’m okay with Eric/Sheila falling for each other on the return, as opposed to having already been in a relationship. Going back by their choice or DM’s choice?  Choosing to stay?

Still in the Realm.  I’m here for the stuck in the Realm much longer stories as well.  Do they find a portal only to find they can’t go home for some reason?  Price too high to pay?  Dreams about going home.  AUs stemming of episodes?  Some faves are The Last Illusion, Child of the Stargazer, The Hall of Bones, The Girl Who Dreamed Tomorrow, The City at the Edge of Midnight and the Dragon’s Graveyard.

For either of these two, here are some ideas.  Please feel free to have the kids feel negatively/frustrated and work through that.

I'd really love something lush that shows a royal court our adventurers come upon. Maybe Eric or Sheila are kidnapped by a princess/prince? Maybe show us Ramoud's court?

There have to have been other parties that DM brought through. What happened to them? Are they still trapped in the Realm? Might they join forces?

How long are they in the Realm vs. how long are they gone in the real world? Canon suggests that no one has even noticed they're gone.  How does this impact relationships?

How do the portals that don't lead home make them feel? Maybe a portal that appears to go home but just takes them elsewhere in the Realm? You can make this one a little darker if you like but eventually save them.  The portals that go elsewhere – I am totally down if you want to do a little time travel or they never existed/have been missing.

They get home but get pulled back. Why? How do they feel about it?  Why is it them?

Please keep any romantic stuff at a PG level unless you have aged them up.

I also think the Baroness and Zarana could be interesting together in the Mainframe/Zarana storyline.  Is the Baroness tired of dealing with people who get paid by the hour?

Beach/CG are just one entry in my list of "gruff/sarcastic guy gets the girl" couples, and I love them driving each other nuts.

Mainframe/Zarana, I am completely here for a rescue type story.

I helped create CG/BH as a shippy couple and I miss them.  The other two have a opposites attract vibe that I like.  To be fair, Beach and CG are also opposites attract and then drive each other nuts before they get a room.   I have not written for them in awhile, but BH/CG takes me back to a warm little fandom place.  Stolen moments are good.

I also love love love Mainframe/Zarana – but how much more fun would it be if she really was working for GI Joe?  I’m seeing a rescue story here as a possibility.  Feel free to play around with him not being amused about the whole double agent thing.  If you take that route, I am fine with Zandar being not a bad guy (unlike their other brother).

I love the He-Man/Casta ship, and would be ALSO interested to see it play out in a Revelations style story (if you’re interested!).  I love seeing the difference between how Adam acts on Eternia and Etheria. 

I love He-Man and Castaspella together and think it could be excellent to have more.

Or if you’re down for a good AU, Adam gets taken instead of Adora, go crazy.  I prefer to ship Adam with Castaspella, and I love seeing the difference between how Adam acts on Eternia and Etheria.

I’d love to see her figure out his secret. I like how he can be different on Etheria, and I like that Casta likes Adam. Getting together, missing scenes, finding out his secret, keeping relationships under wraps. Feel free to steam it up!

La’an & Khan: Whether you write her in to Space Seed or come up with some other adventure, I would love to see these two square off.  She has spared him once, but will she choose differently this time?  See SNW section and if you like, feel free to work in La’an/James or La’an & Manu.

Adora & Allura – Princesses just want to have fun.  And adventures?  Etheria, Arus, or Eternia are all good options (feel free to blend with He-Man as well).

Joe/Kimber - I just think this would be fun.  .  Is there a mystery to solve? Feel free to have Joe sing (yes, TV show fan here).

Craig/Aja get married and everyone is invited?

Jerrica/Rio is hard to go wrong with, and we see so little of Anthony/Shana.

For Shana/Anthony, we just see so little of them but they are clearly together and happy.  Sneaking off during videos to…collaborate maybe?

Aja/Craig – They get back together.  They decide not to worry about their equally outrageous families and get married.  Outrageous!

Jerrica/Rio – Sweet or sexy – the vibe at the end of Broadway Magic is what I am going for.

I enjoy when this fandom revels in its Eighties roots, so if you want to involve Unsolved Mysteries or some such, go for it.

Jacqui lives – How would this change dynamics? She can be alive at the time of the story or not, but not have her go down in that plane crash. I like to think she’d be a good addition, and see through all of Eric Raymond’s BS. Feel free to kill Emmett instead…or not.

If you want to write 1000+ words  of totally outrageous 1980s cartoon soap opera, this is the request for you.  Flashy, over the top – I am here for it.

I’ve been wanting a deeper look into Danse’s search for her mother – maybe an Unsolved Mystery or something? 

Jem/Rio - You can never go wrong with these two.

Jerrica and Danse seem like they would get along just as well as Jem and Danse do.

One theme here is missing/absent mothers and their daughters. A story where Jacqui lives (how does that change everything?), or Nadia gets found (with happy ending). Or even just these two interacting because they have a lot in common, IMO.

So I'd love Galadria/Cryotek in whatever you write (at least a little). I think she and Ectar might make an interesting pair of mission buddies. A mission where Cryotek/Galadria have to work with Cindarr is interesting, especially since the two men are not fans of each other.

For the worldbuilding: New trials at the Shrine? More knights? Are the current ones recruiting like a competition?

The botanical garden: I know it's a stupid running joke but tell me about it! Perhaps each region has an area, or it ends up being like the Hanging Gardens?

So this is my fandom I'm requesting in any and all places. I just love them. There's 13 episodes (E1, E5, E9 and E11 are the best) and they're all on YouTube. I love the dynamic where the gruff guy gets the girl, and that they get to be equals.

So for the 80s cartoons, this one gets left out a lot, possibly because it’s not on DVD, but I love it.  It had the potential to be smarter than some of the others, and there’s just something about it that works and is intriguing.

I would really love a good canon-typical plot with romance!

Cryotek/Galadria are one of my rare pair favorites, anything sexy or sweet will do!

I’ve been requesting this and thinking about them more.  Fandom is small, it feels like about five people (okay, maybe 10) on AO3 have even heard of it (eps are available online) and there’s a lot of room to play, a lot of depth and room to explore.

I love how evenly matched Cryotek/Galadria are.  The whole scene where we see her surprise him (and then they get interrupted by the baddies) is ripe for “like canon but make it sexier”.  But in that scene I love how they immediately slide back to back, and she is an asset, not a liability.  Please bring the shippiness.  I love that the gruff, stern guy got the girl instead of the usual hero character.  I’m totally here for the two of them kicking some ass, getting down, meeting alternate version of themselves, having romantic sexy times.  Not a fan of damsels in distress, but sometimes a girl needs a little help.

For worldbuilding prompts: New trials at the Shrine? More knights? Are the current ones recruiting like a competition?  Or maybe even another round of challengers to join the group?

How does PTSD affect the characters?  How did the collapse of their society impact them?  Obviously our characters coped fairly well.

Something around water would be good.

I think something where they are on a joint mission and have to cooperate with Cindarr (who is not really quite so bad as the rest of the crew) would be interesting.  What do they think of him?  What does he think of them?  Channel the tag “Villain and hero both agree that hero’s loved one is delightful” and I am in.  Teaming up with their counterparts for Reasons is always entertaining.

If you feel like going steamy, don’t let me stop you! I have some thoughts as well.

Sparring as foreplay – they hint at it in the first episode, but I feel like it is definitely a thing for them.  This is also a great place for “That one scene from canon, but make it sexier”.

Basically what it says.  I love that the gruff, stern guy got the girl instead of the usual hero character.  I’m totally here for the two of them kicking some ass, getting down, meeting alternate version of themselves, having romantic sexy times.   I’m easy to please on this one. 

Kneeling for cunnilingus – I like this one for the two of them because they’re both fairly fit, although I feel quite sure he can hold her up.

Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys SuperMysteries: I love Nancy in all her incarnations, but especially Super Mysteries.  Travel, adventure, unresolved sexual tension (you can resolve it, it’s OK), the clothes, the flimsy undercover jobs.  This update of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys (and bringing them together) really scratches my 1980s/1990s itch.  I love how they’re always HAPPENING to run into each other and OOPS our mysteries are connected.  Frank Hardy was probably my first fictional boyfriend (so much better than Ned) and the UST, while varying from book to book, is great – but aside from the UST I love how well Nancy and Frank work together.  My faves are The Last Resort, Dangerous Games, Exhibition of Evil.  And Joe!  I love how funny and brash he can be, like taking on the bad guy with a water pistol.

There is a scene in the Hollywood 2-parter where Frank is all, "Can it wait while I dry off?" and you should feel free to visit that.  Otherwise, I love to see them driving each other nuts, taking turns rescuing each other, and getting stuck in tight places.  Cases are optional, and I love relaxing post-case when guards are a little relaxed.

Nancy & Fenton: One of the things I loved about this version is that he takes her seriously, like a competent adult investigator. Feel free to play on that.

So the vibe of this show is different than the books, but I discovered it and LOVE it.  The adversarial competitive vibe between the two (and while I didn’t nominate him, feel free to have Joe instigating/commenting on the vibe between the two of them) is really enjoyable, and I loved that the show totally flirted with them hooking up and then… awkward.  Get a room!  Strand them at a roadside hotel!  They have to pose as a couple and it gets very comfortable.  If you go with “accidentally seeing naked” then I prefer she gets a glance of him.

For the worldbuilding - what is going on in that doomed timeline? Levy is narrating it and in a manga scene writing it down, so we know she survives part of it... but focusing on any of them in that is good.

 

I love Fairy Tail. I'm current on anime and manga, not on 100 year quest. I would just really love an excellent Gajeel/Levy or Laxus/Mira.  Whether it be a job, and adventure, or just pure pure fluff. I'm a huge fan of the Grand Magic Games, Tenrou Island and Battle of Fairy Tail arcs, so those are great places to start.

 

This is my fandom where there’s a ton of fanfic, but not much of it really does it for me.

 

I love Gajeel/Levy and their dynamic, and I totally want to see Laxus and Mira get together. I’m really open to anything here with this crew. I’d be cool with an AU of the Grand Magic Games or Battle of Fairy Tail. And feel free to use all three couples, the more the merrier.

 

And I didn’t request him because I don’t want a story focused on just him, but don’t leave out Pantherlily if you go Levy/Gajeel.

 

If you wanted to include Freed, a story where he, Levy, and Gajeel have to work together could be fun.

 

Maybe some kind of house party or ball?

 

I would really really love an excellent Fairy Tail story.  Feel free to go a little smutty .  If you’re going with Laxus/Mira hooking up – I can totally see these two with a series of hookups and everyone getting into their business because she’s the nosy big sister and payback is payback.  We know Levy and Gajeel are banging.

 

GMG – While I enjoyed the Dragon King Festival, I’d really love a GMG where they actually get to compete without the end of the world being on the menu.  I would be very down for a second generation battle.  Kids of Gajeel/Levy, Natsu/Lucy, Jellal/Erza, Laxus/Mira, Gray/Juvia, Rogue/Sting, Bickslow/Lisanna, Elf/Ever, Cana/Bacchus, Lyon…any old rivalries.

 

I’d also be down for post-GMG party time for real, not like what we got in the episode – especially something more romantic.

 

I would love a story playing off the doomed timeline we see in Grand Magic Games. I believe we see the doomed GMG timeline in ep 125.  That one little glimpse we get of other-Levy could be built on.

 

I’d love a look at how the script mages do their thing, and peculiarlities around it.  They’re support magic, but it is powerful.  Think about Freed’s traps in the Fantasia arc or in the S-Class, and how Levy  and Evergreen both subvert it.  (I’ve just been rewatching that whole arc, and for Freed I also love the scene where he stops fighting to lecture his enemy.  Channel that.). Levy making Gajeel the iron with the heart in it is another one of my faves.
