My general preferences on fanfic are here.
Fairy Tail
Levy McGarden/Gajeel Redfox, Gray Fullbuster/Juvia Lockser, Laxus Dreyar/Mirajane Strauss, Natsu Dragneel/Lucy Heartfilia
Seasonal/Spooky
DNW extreme gore/violence, sexual violence, harm to animals/children
Think couples Halloween fun!
By the time this challenge ends, I'll have read all of the manga, so feel free.
One of the things I love about FT is all the shippy potential - so while you don't have to use everyone, please at least use them in pairs - Gajeel/Levy, Mira/Laxus, Gray/Juvia.
I'd really like something fun for this - "ghost" scares or haunted houses or scavenger hunts or jump scares to induce a kiss, or vanishing hitchhikers.
I’m current on the anime as well, so have fun. I definitely want fun couples time, but you can go for fall stuff as well as Halloween.
Anne of Green Gables - L. M. Montgomery
Cornelia Bryant/Marshall Elliott, Bertha Willis Shirley/Walter Shirley
No Theme/Seasonal/Spooky
DNW extreme gore/violence, sexual violence, harm to animals/children
Cornelia and Marshall are somewhat of a fall romance, would love a fall story for them. Or maybe something a little spooky?
A lovely fall story for Anne's parents would be lovely.
A little spooky, but would lean more towards fall here with both choices.
Nantucket Trilogy - S.M. Stirling
Kashtiliash/Kathryn Hollard, Kathryn Hollard & Kenneth Hollard (Nantucket Trilogy), Kenneth Hollard/Raupasha
Seasonal/Spooky
DNW extreme gore/violence, sexual violence, harm to animals/children
Fall in the Bronze Age Babylon?
The Islanders introduce a little Halloween?
Have fun, and don’t worry too much about historical accuracy!
Crossover Fandom
Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew - Keene) & Jane Marple (Marple - Christie), Hercule Poirot (Poirot - Christie) & Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew - Keene), Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew - Keene) & Cherry Ames (Cherry Ames), Jane Marple (Marple - Christie) & Cherry Ames (Cherry Ames), Tiffany Wield (Nonesuch - Heyer)/Claud Darracott (Unknown Ajax - Heyer), Diana (DCEU)/Steve Rogers (MCU), Diana (DCEU)/Thor(MCU), Diana (DCEU)/James "Bucky" Barnes (MCU)
Seasonal/Spooky
DNW extreme gore/violence, sexual violence, harm to animals/children
Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew - Keene) & Jane Marple (Marple – Christie) – A little spookiness in your typical English village?
Hercule Poirot (Poirot - Christie) & Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew - Keene) – I see this with a London setting, but a little spooky is good.
Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew - Keene) & Cherry Ames (Cherry Ames) – These two could be great in either seasonal or spooky.
Jane Marple (Marple - Christie) & Cherry Ames (Cherry Ames) – English villages have surprises.
Tiffany Wield (Nonesuch - Heyer)/Claud Darracott (Unknown Ajax - Heyer) – I think this could be an interesting pairing, looking for more seasonal than anything else.
Diana (DCEU)/Steve Rogers (MCU) – To me, these two have a lot in common.
Diana (DCEU)/Thor(MCU) – These two could have some interesting similarities. Bonus points for references they don’t get.
Diana (DCEU)/James "Bucky" Barnes (MCU) – I love this pairing.
Original Work
Lonely Old Lady Ghost & Child She Befriends (Original Work), Female Heir to a Large Estate/Male Cousin Who Wants Her Inheritance, Librarian/Frequent patron
Seasonal/Spooky
DNW extreme gore/violence, sexual violence, harm to animals/children
For the lonely old lady ghost & child, allusions to abusive environment are fine, explicit descriptions are DNW. Or perhaps the child is an Anne Shirley type?
Female heir/male cousin - Feel free to go a little dark here - perhaps he's plotting to kill her (and hey if you would like to cross this over with one of the crossover fandom mystery pairs, be my guest) or just take advantage of her? Does she turn the tables? Or, does she decide to do away with him? Or, does he successfully do away with her and end up with some ghostly trouble?
Librarian/patron - essentially, flirting with books. If you want to make one or both a ghost, go for it.
What it says on the tin. Have fun!
