1. Anne of Green Gables - L. M. Montgomery

So what I would really like is an AU where Ruby Gillis lives, and I'd love to see her interact with Anne and Rilla.

Or, if Ruby doesn't float your boat (or almost drowns you in the Lake of Shining Waters), something focused on Anne and Rilla in the Rilla of Ingleside timeframe or just after would be lovely.

All characters requested do not have to appear.

I’d really like to see Ruby get to experience more of life. She really wanted to marry and have children, and she gets nothing. I’d also like to see this grown-up Ruby interact with Anne and Rilla.

Or, just more of Anne and Rilla. We don’t get as much of Anne as I would like in Rilla of Ingleside, and I’m interested in Anne’s relationship with the teen or adult Rilla…or maybe even first-time mother Rilla, if as it looks like Rilla might give her the first grandchild? Especially if Anne shares with her about Joyce. I’m okay with bittersweet for this prompt.

2. Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold

I love love love Tej. Something focused on how she adapts to Barrayar or one of their diplomatic stations is good, or feel free to have her and Kareen cause some trouble on Barrayar. I love stuff focused on Winterfair or fancy dress events.

Something that focuses on just Tej is good.

Something that focuses on the pair of them is also good.

I really love fancy dress parties or other Barrayaran events, especially if Kareen is providing the “bored native” POV to a newcomer.

3. Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold

Group: Ludmilla "Drou" Droushnakovi & Kareen VorbarraFanfiction

Down for an AU where Kareen Vorbarra is not history's sacrifice, especially if Drou is actually the one to save her. Or something set afterward. Or something set before where they're still getting used to each other.

Or, if you like, an encounter with Kareen's ghost. If you'd like to throw Kareen Koudelka into this prompt, I would be on board for that.

I don’t really have more to add. I have previously received a lovely fic called History (https://archiveofourown.org/works/8117992) that deals with a ghostly visitor.

4. Greek and Roman Mythology

Ariadne (Greek and Roman Mythology)

I'd love to see Ariadne help out the seven maidens rather than the handsome (kind of stupid) Theseus? Feel free to make the maidens somehow tied to the seven young men - friends/siblings/etc - but interested here in Ariadne helping the maidens out. Maybe she knows one of them?

This is pretty much it – lifted from one of my Once Upon A Fic letters. I know the maidens aren’t nominated, but I think they would fit with the spirit of the exchange.

5. Gone With the Wind - Margaret Mitchell

Melanie Wilkes

Scarlett O'Hara

India Wilkes

AU where Melanie lives. Introspective where Melanie thinks of what Scarlett has done. Melanie and India interaction. India introspection.

All characters do not need to appear but I REALLY want Melanie.

Is Scarlett a man-stealing mean girl who gets people killed? Yes. Did she keep Melanie and Beau alive? Yes. Is Melanie one of the most interesting characters? Yes.
