Please see my general preferences here.
1. Star Trek Rihannsu Novels - Diane Duane
Rihannsu/Romulans make peace with Federation
Vulcans in Starfleet (Rihannsu novels)
The Declared settle ch'Rihan
Legend of Rea's Helm
Earth-Romulan War
Ael t'Rllaillieu & Spock
Teriaw Haleakala-LoBrutto
Aidoann t'Khnialmnae
Ael t'Rllaillieu
I totally prefer Diane Duane's/TOS Romulans/Rihannsu to what we got in TNG and later. I also love how Duane envisions Starfleet, and the idea that the Vulcans are everywhere.
1. Vulcans in Starfleet - How do they deal with everyone else?
2. Declared settle Rihan - If you go this route and have read the books, I'd love a settling/colonization story (perhaps related by Ael, Aidoann or Terise). Also shaping society and social events
3. Legend of Rea's Helm - Rea was a sorcerer who created a helmet that prevented the wearer from being harmed (because the demon inside bit the guy's head off)... more about this story/Rea would be interesting.
4. Earth-Romulan War - Reconcile the TOS stuff and the books stuff, and tell me a story of these days.
5. Rihannsu make peace - The Romulans would totally be better allies than the Klingons. Tell me a story of this AU (feel free to combine it with the Yesterday's Enterprise prompt in TNG). Focus on Rihannsu please.
6. Ael & Spock - I love how they interact.
7. Ael, Aidoann, Terise - Feel free to use them or original characters (or other characters from the books!) to tell your story.
I don't have much to add. I love the history and culture of the Rihannsu and want more. I will give you this quote from My Enemy, My Ally:
"Jim spent about half a second simply being astonished at how many different kinds of Vulcans there were. On some level he had become conditioned to their being dark, and usually tall. But here were gigantic seven-foot Vulcans and little delicate ones, Vulcans slimmer even than Spock and Vulcans much burlier—none of them actually being overweight; Starfleet regulations to one side, Jim suspected nonglandular fat of being, as far as Vulcans were concerned, "illogical." And there were fair Vulcans, blond and ash blond and very light brunette, and, good Lord, several redheads— Most important, there were four hundred and eight of them. Jim could think of a lot of worse things than having four hundred Vulcans, all coolly furious over the loss of their Captain, at his back in a charge down that corridor."
2. Vulcan's Glory - DC Fontana (TOS Novel)
Vulcan Clans
Vulcans in Starfleet (Vulcan's Glory - DC Fontana TOS Novel)
Life at Vulcan Science Academy
Spock/T'Pris (Vulcan's Glory - DC Fontana (TOS Novel)
I loved this book as well.
1. More about Vulcan's clan systems, how they impact everything on and off world.
2. Vulcans in Starfleet - The book makes Spock one of 11 Vulcans, not the only one. Expand on this.
3. Life at VSA - Maybe a story where Spock (and T'Pris) are stationed there?
4. Spock/T'Pris - I really want an AU where she lives. How does it change Spock? How does his father react? What happens when Kirk takes the Enterprise?
So if you could have T'Pris survive, that would be awesome. How does it impact Amok Time and Spock's relationship with his parents?
3. Star Trek: The Next Generation
Alynna Nechayev
Benjamin Maxwell
Beverly Crusher
Elizabeth Shelby
Richard Castillo
Tasha Yar
Walker Keel
Beverly Crusher/Jean-Luc Picard
Mirror Universe
Life as a Starfleet Academy Instructor
War with the Cardassians
Yesterday's Enterprise Reality
I'm a big TNG fan. But there are stories that never got told that are in my head.
1. Cardassian War era - I'm interested in the 2350s era - feel free to throw Picard, Nechayev, Ben Maxwell, and Keel together in this and see what happens. I have a head canon that Nechayev and Maxwell were both captains during that era and are/were involved.
2. Yesterday's Enterprise Reality - Feel free to combine this with Cardassian War - I have a head canon that says fighting the Klingons would have left no time to screw around with the Cardassians, so they got steamrolled/destroyed. Or, what happens when the Enterprise C goes back? I'd love focus on Castillo and Yar here. (And Castillo/Yar). I need more about this AU.
3. TNG Mirror Universe - More interested in Diane Duane's Dark Mirror (if you;ve read it) and the TOS Mirror Universe than in the black leather BDSM Mirror Universe stuff from DS9. Feel free to focus on Crusher, Picard or P/C in this one. Can also be combined with 1 or 2.
4. Life as a SF Academy instructor - I'd love to see what this would be like for Picard or Crusher (or again, P/C). Either before/after series.
5. Tasha Yar lives AU - I'd enjoy this.
6. Picard/Crusher - I'm down for this story as well.
It's hard to go wrong with P/C for me...
4. Star Trek: The Original Series
Number One/Christopher Pike
Crews leaving books and movies behind
Ghost Ship Starfleet Urban Legend
Spock (TOS)
Vulcans in Starfleet
1. Crews leaving stuff behind - Watched "A Piece of the Action" lately, and made me wonder what it would be like for other stuff. Like, I don't know, Georgette Heyer or Jane Austen, or Agatha Christie, or Downton Abbey.
2. Ghost Ship UL - either an encounter with a ghost ship or just the story. Feel free to have someone telling Spock and him dismissing it or being "fascinated".
3. Vulcans in SF - Clearly Spock can't be the only one. Tell me about them!
4. Number One/Pike - Combine with another prompt or just give me a story about them. Not sad please.
I'm not opposed to a story on Kirk's Enterprise, but I like Pike's very much.
5. Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold
Barrayaran Period History Dramas
Ivan Vorpatril/Tej Arqua Vorpatril
Tej Arqua Vorpatril
Padma Vorpatril
Ivan Vorpatril
Alys Vorpatril
Discovering a lost colony
1. Period dramas - Tej starts watching the equivalent of Downton Abbey set during the Time of Isolation or Regency. She's hooked but Ivan and Alys may not be. Alternately, Alys has a guilty habit of watching them (and possibly critiquing them). I'm also down for a treatment of over the top costume drama on these periods. Bonus points if you have characters based on Alys and Padma in it (with her critique).
2. Discovering a lost colony - I'd like to see Ivan and Tej be sent in their diplomatic role. Have fun.
3. Padma - more about him in stories to Ivan and Tej.
4. Ivan/Tej - I do want this in whatever you do. I love them.
I don't really have anything to add, except this from CVA:
"Tej seemed such a sunny personality, much of the time—these flashes of dark were like a crack in the sky, shocking and wrong. Reminding him that the daylight was the illusion, the scattering of light by the atmosphere, and the endless night was the permanent default behind it all."
