Trying to get through these... I want to be able to move onto Yuletide Madness, although I think that's not going to happen until after the reveal.  Which is okay, because I have 11 stories in Madness, and then I will be able to rec them, along with my three long stories.

I also want to read more Heyer, which I cannot do in the office because the Kindle is not allowed.  (Sadness)

 Without further ado...

1. The Not Entirely Accurate Chronicle of John Polidori (18th/19th CE RPF) - Generally, RPF is not my thing, but historical personages don't seem quite like RPF.  Just consider it a "historically inspired novel" and call it a day.  Anyway, this is funny, especially if you greatly dislike Byron.

 2. Finding a New Happily Ever After (Cinderella) - For the prompt that asked for the stepsisters and the Fairy Godmother.  I like it, partly because it's very well-done and partly because it gets back to the original version, wherein Cinderella's mother's spirit is what helps her out.  It's not exactly that, but plays on it nicely.

 3. A Princess and a Warrior Walk into a Tower (Disney Princesses) - Jasmine and Mulan go on a little road trip and discover a secluded tower with two of its inhabitants at home... Very good dialogue!

 4. Four Things That Weren't Adequately Covered in Mulan's R.A. Training (Disney Princesses) - So if you want a funny, Disney Princesses all together in a modern AU, you want to read this story.  It is hysterically funny.  Mulan is the poor RA dealing with helicopter moms, stepmoms who are trying to poison their daughters, people being stalked... great interplay of characters.

One of the best parts about someone we all know:
He did turn up.  He was huge, boorish, obnoxious, and loutish, and I was really glad that Merida and I were both there.  "She doesn't want to see you," Merida informed him.  "She doesn't want to talk to you.  She is not interested in you."

He calmly accepted this and left politely.  Oh, wait, no.  I'm sorry.  He suggested that the only reason Belle didn't want to sleep with him was that she was a lesbian or possibly into sexual relations with woodland animals.  Also, he suggested that a foursome that was him, Belle, Merida and me would be something he'd be into.

And then there's this:

So Gothel hired a guy to stalk and attack Punzie, so she could come to her rescue.
I KNOW.  It was like the grand slam of crazy, right there.

Guess who she hires....

 5. Aftertaste (Greek and Roman Myth) - Cassandra and Persephone interact in Hades.  Very well done, touching and in character.

 6. Rrh-thanai (Star Trek TOS Novels) - Peace with the Romulans, and a Vulcan ambassador to ch'Rihan.  Very good mix of canon in with some imagination, and the characters are spot-on.  If you love Duane's Rihannsu, you should definitely read this.

There's still the 36,000 word Mansfield Park piece, but I am obviously not reading that tonight.
