It's awesome. I'm less fond of the second one, because I don't like when they start playing chop and splice with several books and altering plots however you choose. There's a third one, but they totally just started making stuff up for that one (shifting Anne and Gilbert to WWI, and making up a whole story around that) so it doesn't work for me.
