Yes I've heard about the rumor that she was originally supposed to die where McKeon dies. That would be what I haven't forgiven him for. I used to say that if he killed off Alistair or Rafe, I would have a really hard time picking up the next book. (This would have been right after In Enemy Hands.) I know he's said he's going to get away from her, which I agree with. What happens to her next?
Of course, I'm also still somewhat irked about how he ended the tension about White Haven...
I'm good with books following Saganami and Crown, but by the time he writes another HH book, we're all going to recap the series.
I don't care for the Hells Gate stuff, but I can find other stuff to read.
