Book Cleaning
Sep. 3rd, 2007 10:14 pm There were 1709 (but I've found 3-4 that weren't catalogued).
Now? There are 1651.
I have a few more than 750 out on bookshelves (of which we have 7 1/2).
Together, we have over a thousand books accessible.
We're going to make a used book store pretty happy a few weekends from now.
If only I could make inroads on my "to-read" pile, but people keep putting out books. :)

Date: 2007-09-04 03:34 am (UTC)The problem with weeding books is the first 50% take 10% of the time. After awhile you have to look at each book and ponder whether you want it. I end up picking out candidates or even entire authors. Sometimes its better to figure out which ones you want to keep.

Date: 2007-09-06 09:50 pm (UTC)It is hard. I mean, if it's been in a box all this time, do I REALLY need it? On the other hand, books = money I have spent. Some I can sell on Amazon, some not.
This was sort of a pre-sort. We'll be moving in 09/early 10, and will have to do a more extensive one then. :(

Date: 2007-09-06 09:45 pm (UTC)I'll try to put together a list.
It won't be Regency heavy, but when we actually move, that one probably will be. :)
