The promised update.

Thursday, Brian and I had lunch at Taco Bell. Late Thrusday night, he either came down with a bad 24-hour bug or food poisoning (he had a seven-layer burrito, and I find sour cream and guacamole can be suspect) and spent most of the night/early morning in the bathroom. Not very pleasant. Friday, he was still feeling a little under the weather. So I ended up doing most of the cleaning.

Saturday, his dad got here at around ten. We had a nice visit. His father is nice without his wife around. When she's around, she sort of overpowers things. My sister-in-law (SMIL's daughter) is enjoying her first week of motherhood mostly, although I'm glad I didn't have my mother around for the first week or two. At least by the time we had people visiting, I was secure enough in my mothering and reading Adrianna skills that I felt like it was okay to hand her to other people. Also, the fact that I'm breastfeeding means more cuddle time, since I'm sort of the only one who can do it. We went to Miyabi's and had an experience with the not-so-swift waiter, since we tried to do the split plate option thing, since I wanted sushi as well. He failed to tell us that if you have stuff besides the dinner, they don't charge you the sharing charge, but don't bring you the soup or salad, which is NOT spelled out on the menu. It was very good though, and his dad liked it, so all was good. I also had an entertaining conversation with a soon-to-be-mom about breastfeeding, and how my experiences were going, since I was in the bathroom with the princess. Sometimes a loud noise will set her off.

Sunday, we lazed around with his dad, then went forth to purchase the princess her christmas dress. It's very pretty, I'll have to post a pic of it by itself here. Also, it was on sale. :)

I need to get the weekly pictures done, but also need to download from the camera.

I spent a good chunk of the morning in bed with the cats, after sending Adrianna off to day care when her father went to work. I've been organizing my notes for the paper I need to write this week. Also went to Jo-Ann's to experiment with my photo backdrop fabric, and they're having a sale as well. I may be going back. Looked at buying a Furminator after reading [livejournal.com profile] joyeuse13's entry about them and seeing the website: http://www.furminator.com/testbed/indexnew.html . However, as the small one is 39.95 (sometimes on sale for 24.95), so not purchasing just yet.

Still reading Venetia, since various responsibilities keep coming up, but I do like it.

Hugs and support to anyone on my f-list who is need of them.

You've got me intrigued by the Furminator, since the Queen of Frelling Everything (see icon) is a shedding diva.

The furminator doesn't look bad at all. DV was ready to go buy it yesterday, but it's $40 when not on sale around here. If you see it on sale, by all means grab it.

Ah, Taco Bell claims another victim. Hope it wasn't too bad, I know food poisoning can be intense at times.
