I forgot to post about my Rare Pair Fest gift, Snapshots of Second Love, a Baby-Sitters Club one about Elizabeth and Watson.  Cute and funny, and not too sweet.

He might not look like the romantic hero of anyone’s dreams, but he kisses like one.

The Fic Corner stories are up and unrevealed, so here were a few of the ones I really enjoyed.

First was my gift, of course: To Help the Man Behind the Gun, Anne of Green Gables.  Faith Meredith asks Dr. Blythe for a favor, set during Rainbow Valley.  It's good and lovely and if you are an AoGG fan, you should have a look at it.

Others I enjoyed:

Molly and the Super-Hero - Molly from the American Girls books meets Captain America from the movies.  Light and funny and very readable!  There's also a shopped cover featuring Molly with the shield.

Haunted - Remus Lupin confronting old ghosts and the fear of new ones.  Harry Potter, very good.

Flytail Express - A Laura Ingalls Wilder sort of AU.

Slip Away - Tillerman Cycle, a look at Abigail and her husband.  It's sort of a depressing spiral down sort of story, but it's well-written.

The Last Edits - Two Minute Mysteries's Dr. Haledjian has some final edits.  I know this one was done on short notice, and it's funny.  It pokes fun at Haledjian without being too malicious.

Dear LJ, a "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page" delay button would be a good improvement.

If I'd realized there wasn't an anonymous period after Fic Corner's reveals, I would have held off posting.

My story for Fic Corner was Wishing for Courage, which is a BSC story featuring Mary Anne Spier, Stacey McGill, and some femslashy yearnings.  Characters are somewhat aged up, nothing explicit.

I also did a set of 3 shorts about Anne and Gilbert Blythe's sons during the Rilla of Ingleside period.  They all started as treats, but only one actually fit what the person asked for.  They comprise a new series, "Brothers in Arms".

Going West features Walter, and his last letter home, which is for me one of the finest parts of RoI.

Permission to Leave features Shirley, and the hinted-at scene in RoI where Anne gives him permission to go overseas. (Fic Corner treat)

Coming Home features Jem, and the comment in RoI that he didn't realize Walter was really dead until he came home.  I wanted a scene that looked in a little more than that glossing-over.

Yuletide schedule is up, so I need to buckle down on the NYR I have been wanting to do, and start thinking about nominations.  I have 94 works now, and am thinking I'd like to get to 100 before Yuletide.
