Apr. 20th, 2005 09:54 pmMother of God. Please send reinforcements.
I don't know why, but today has just been an on-edge hormone day. Not due to be that time of month for another week and a half. And... we were running dangerously low on chocolate. Just this entire day, I felt like surrounding myself with barbed wire and "no trespassing" signs. Thankfully, we did not have to run at PT today, because I could not have handled any bouncing.
Paperwork is the devil. I'm very annoyed with S1 sending stuff back for nitpicky little errors. On the good side, my PCS leave form is finally done and turned in. I pick up clearing papers, etc next week. Escape is at hand!!
The NCODP this morning was its usual fun self. I am sick of the DUI/drug presentation. I cannot understand what people are not getting.
1. Do not drive if you have been drinking.
2. Have a plan when you drink and FOLLOW IT.
3. DD = no alcohol. None. Whatsoever.
4. Pop for the cab if need be.
5. Do not let your friends drive after drinking. If it means taking keys or being a bitch, do it. I'd rather be a bitch than go to someone's court-martial or funeral.
We're not taking care of each other, and it is showing.
Family readiness group meeting this evening, pretty decent. The only thing that annoyed me was the constant reference to "spouse" events. I'm a spouse *and* a soldier. I realize I'm a minority, but that irritates the f*ck out of me. We belong here too.
Speaking of spouse status, Brian will be here on Saturday. :)
Off to tackle chores and continue reading. I'm working on Charles Spencer's history of his family. So far it's kind of a mixed bag - there's been one set of people that I actually cared about, but it's one of those nice overview type books.
