My characters are not cooperating. I've given up on trying to rope people together, and gotten lost in the first of my Heyer re-releases. I am quite enjoying "The Unknown Ajax", although I am somewhat disappointed in the fact that Lady Aurelia is apaprently the only one who gets Hugo's plot. I tend to like the "houseful of people who genteely despise each other" subset of stories, so that's going nicely. Some of the cousins should have been drowned at birth, though.

I also devoured a Nora Roberts romance, "Sea Swept",last night. Normally I don't get to into her modern stuff (preferring to stick with the JD Robb books) but this four-book arc looks pretty good. I plan to pick up #2 in my next raid, along with a copy of The Toll-Gate (also by Heyer), but I have a few books to read first. Not until after payday (and probably not until after I write a chapter or 2).

I had a fun day at work - lots of stress, which I sort of thrive on. Better to be busy and popping than staring at the clock every five minutes and wondering why it hasn't moved at all. Predicting drama at work tomorrow, because an E-3 "didn't appreciate my tone". I didn't appreciate being short handed and in a fix, and the comp time that she was taking probably should have been cancelled due to manning issues. I realize it was her birthday, but... life sucks sometimes, for all of us.

Also I couldn't finish administering a test because we didn't have the audio portion of it handy. Despite the fact that W verified it was there on Friday. Monday should be quite entertaining. But the poor person taking the test is probably at home having nervous little fits, despite the fact that she did very well (missed 3, raeyn!!) on the written portion of the test. I feel bad for her. I know she wanted this over and done with.

dj_celica : I'm trying to put together a list of "good diver" scenes for purposes of your inspiration. Check out my new icon for a laugh. :)

surreal_phantast : I was hoping to see you back up, but I presume the PC problems are still ensuing.

raeyn : I tried you before the E3. Sorry about waking you up this morning, but thought you might possibly be in the land of the living. Notably, I didn't try to call Aaron, after talking to his hyperactive partner in crime. The terrible 2 were actually very helpful today.

Still no word on the board. Maybe Monday, I hope. I also have to go in and plead with my CO to release early leave for one of my guys, so that'll involve a chat with the platoon sergeant. Not sure when, exactly.

NOTE TO SELF : Buy Chlorframs after work tomorrow at Clothing Sales. I hate stupid inspections where I have to wear my pants and low-quarters. I avoid them like the plague. Still, I get to sleep in a little on Weds (my Friday) but have to be up early on Thursday.

Probably going to tape Boston Legal and head off to bed. I'm a tired little fox. (Okay, so I'll lie in bed and read, but I don't want to try and make it to ten.)

You scored as Garnet. Fired-up, full of energy and rearing to go, garnet-girls (or guys :-P) are blessed with inner passion and strength. They would rather not give up on what they want and are generally very exciting people :-). Also, tell me if Im wrong, but the garnet-type personality is often accompanied with good health, as which the gems themselves promote.

I sort of like this one, myself. Hot-tempered and passionate are definitely accurate.... As the dear man in the userpic will be happy to tell you. :)
