Working Days....
Dec. 5th, 2004 05:52 pmI finished the first half of my first four-day set working days. I'm hoping it gets better. However, since M-F when I work, I have to do PT at 0400, I'm not sure. I hope whoever decided that it would be better to go back instead of forward on the schedule finds himself being nibbled to death by cats (for my fellow Babylon 5 fans)... Like I said, hoping I'll get used to it here fairly quickly.
I had fun Saturday, having dinner with phax_halfelven for the first time, since we discovered that we're close to each other geographically. A good time was had by both, with much discussion of the Anita Blake series, as she's recently started reading it. Of course, there was the required fanfic discussion as well.
Also picked up the original Castlevania and Dr Mario for the gameboy. :) Just what I needed, more distractions. Had a request for inclusion in Electra, so I may be able to get inspired. I may even toss in some NC-17 stuff, since it's been awhile :)
Meg, I'm sure you'll be happy when you get home, given the performance Philly is putting out over the Packers. 47-3 with fourth quarter time to go.
Not much to report. The knee is still an issue, but they think it's improving enough to not need surgery. Not running for this long, however, sucks - because I know it's really going to suck when I start running again. Also, not running = cutting down on food, to ensure that I do not turn into a larger-than-life version of myself. The Army frowns on that.
I finished the David Weber book, but that is it's own post over in the Honor Harrington community.
