I wasn't so much referring to the actual act of beating the hell out of rapists (though I'd bet you money, that mukhtar would do just that, if he interupted a rape in progress.) but the expression of "wanting to beat the hell of those guys" i.e. those who abuse women.

That struck me as useful.

But yes, watching out for the women around you, is a Very Good Thing. I'm not surprised he does that.
