Seven Quirks Meme
a) List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself
b) Tag seven people to do the same
c) Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it"
Here we go:
1) I enjoy young adult fiction (from when I was a young adult), probably far more than someone in their late twenties should.
2) I will play a song over and over just so I can sing along.
3) I get paranoid if I can't remember locking the door.
4) I have a soft spot for stupid comedies of the 80s. (Clue, Airplane, Naked Gun, etc...)
5) I love to take pictures of flowers.
6) I love to read cookbooks when I can't sleep.
7) When I'm bored at meetings at work, I practice writing out words in Russian.

1) I love ketchup on a lot of food! If I don't have any, I will pout about it
2) I have a bad habit of gossiping about people who are stupid.
3) I don't like being alone. It's hard for me to sleep at night when I'm alone.
4) I'm a HUGE fan of the anime Sailor Moon. I have a lot of wallscrolls that I put on the bedroom walls.
5) I like to play video games, especially from the Final Fantasy series.
6) I consider my pets my "babies".
7) I have a habit of giving close friends nicknames.

((( )))
Feel better!
My pets aren't exactly my babies. I think of them more as furry teenagers: they don't listen, they don't clean up after themselves, they sleep a lot.

I like to read cookbooks, too.
When I lived on Decelles Street in Montreal, I couldn't go to bed unless I visually confirmed the door was locked, even though the house had been built during the 30s when metal was rationed in Montreal, so if the door wasn't locked, it'd pop open.

Have you seen the Special Edition of the LH books with the colored illustrations and the nice paper? They're pretty nifty.
Cookbooks are fun to read, especially when your mind is too busy. I also read a lot of them when I was having to use the breastpump the first few days because they were easy to prop open.
The lock paranoia started while I was pregnant and had the brain cells start dying off due to the hormones. I got to the point where if I could not remember locking it, I had to go back and check.

1. I sort M&Ms by colors, then I make piles with one of each in them. If I have extras, they get eaten first.
2. I have a major Barbara Cartland novel collection in storage. I used to read them in numerical order.
3. I have named all of my computers/iPods/storage devices/routers after characters on the TV show Farscape.
4. I'm grossed out by snails and slugs, but snakes, lizards, and tarantulas are cool.
5. My hobbies all have massive stashes (books, yarn, beads).
6. I make the sign of the cross when I see emergency vehicles.
7. If I see more than 2 minutes of any variety of "Law & Order", I have a 80% chance of getting sucked into the vortex, even if I've seen the episode before.

We share 5 (books and scrapbooking), 6 (if I'm not cursing people for NOT getting out of the way), and 7.

1) I have an Unnatural Relationship with fresh fruit, especially mangoes, peaches, and really good strawberries.
2) My hobbies include turning FTL stardrive concepts into time machines...and then grumbling about it.
3) I have *absolutely no* sense of direction, and can get lost in my own neighborhood.
4) My first reaction upon meeting
5) I have been called The Universal Flirt--by someone who had witnessed me interacting with dogs and babies. (Still not quite sure what to think of that....)
6) I read bedtime stories out loud. To my 17-year-old.
7) I once made chicken noises onstage with Shari Lewis and her handpuppet Lambchop. Even as a twelve-year-old, my primary reaction was 'she wears WAY too much makeup and perfume!'
