The earliest Sarah Kelling mysteries are a mite macabre for me. It took Charlotte MacLeod a few before she hit her stride with lighter toned, comic mysteries. MacLeod is the author for whom I coined the term acid-test author, when I read 10 of her books in 4 different series over 2 weeks & didn't burn out.
