Personally, when I get up on my liberal little soap box, I think that birth control should be either free or very very low-cost. But I also believe in crazy things like universal health care (for children at least, preferably for everyone) and women controlling what happens to their bodies.
I stopped taking the pills, but that's because I didn't care for the side effect of the hormones making me really really bitchy and prone to fly off the handle about stupid things. I blame that in part for my divorce, since one of his complaints was that I was "too angry".
