A -fucking- men.

If I have to hear "well, they volunteered", as an excuse for why they should have no right to complain or want better, I will scream.

My husband volunteered because he loves his country and he expected his country to treat him as the valuable commodity that he is. That is how every soldier expects to be treated. Being used as cannon fodder or disrespected in value is not what they signed up for. People sign up to defend their country and help, they have every right to expect that their life and their willingness to serve will be treated with care and thoughtfulness.

If people want to honor our soldiers, they need to do more than put up yellow ribbons and flap their gums. They need to do something about it and also to help the soldiers who are injured while in the military.
