ICON MEME
1. Comment to this entry saying "ICONS!" and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make an entry in your own journal and talk about the icons I picked!
#1: Mistletoe. This one can be found at http://www.kawaiinot.com, where they have the strips and a ton of icons. It suits my sense of humor (twisted and cute) for the holiday season.
#2: Nancy Kachina
This one needs to be redone so it pops more - the text says "Not My Day". It's from one of the 1980s paperbacks of the Nancy Drew mysteries (not one of the files). It's book #62. The full picture shows Nancy hiding behind a rock ridge. This is for when it doesn't qualify for Monday status, but not a great day either.
#3 Schroedinger's Cat

#4: Princess Allura
The princess isn't one I use often, but one of the group I made for Voltron. I was trying to put together a collection of female characters in 80s cartoons. I have the DVDs and enjoyed watching, but there's also some weird moments that didn't bother me when I was younger that now make me go "whoa!".
#5: Ponder Times 3
The picture comes from #46, The Invisible Intruder. This one just has fabulous artwork of Nancy and Ned, and the tagline just popped in my head, because I am a Frank/Nancy shipper. The "times 3" refers to the number of evolutions involved in the icon. This version was created for me by

#6: Go To Your Father's Court
My copy of Paladin of Souls by Lois McMaster Bujold is in a box, so I can't give the exact page, but this is one of the scenes in the book where you understand why people read LMB. Paladin of Souls is the second of the series, set in a universe where magic does exist, and the gods are a little more open to some people of the universe. These would be the characters who get the books written about them.
The Father referred to is one of the gods, and this is the moment in which the character to whom it is said is released from the spell he has been caught in, and allowed to die. All I have to say is, go read the book. Actually, read The Curse of Chalion, then read this one, and then read The Hallowed Hunt.
