Yes! 2 chapters of Electra posted, so my readership should be happy for a few days. The 2nd chapter was a little more work for me, since I'm not always at my best writing actiony stuff.
Studying for the board interspersed with other activities. I am also practicing my bio, for kicks. I don't memorize the thing, but I need to review the high points. I really want to do a good job and impress the first sergeant.
I had a nice suprise today - went into work and discovered that I actually was on the schedule not to be there. Can we say, "off like a prom dress" ? I did do something useful with my day, however, by going out across town to Fort Sam to 1) buy "V"s for my AF award and b) get my TA form started. Now my CO has to sign it and we fax it back to the ed center. Now I'm pulling together my transcript evaluation stuff. That's going to run about 100 dollars. Luckily they'll take sealed official transcripts from *me*, so I have those, and the AARTS transcript from the military goes electronically. Now I just have to get my AP scores, but since it's been over 4 years, they have to dig back a little further. Still, $25 for what should give me a total of 6-9 credits is not bad. Glad to see some of that college prep actually going to good use.
See, first I was going to work and go to school. Then I got bored. Then I joined the Army, but I wasn't going to stay all that long. Life, of course, is what happens while you plan other things.
One of my "children"'s uniforms has been misplaced by the cleaners. This could be bad. He may have to go to the board in BDUs.
Watching the Trojans whip up on the Sooners. Go USC!
In other fun news, my catalog for the semi-annual sale at Victoria's Secret is here. Oh yes. Maybe I can get a little Valentine's shopping done. Hopefully, I'll get to see my husband for it.
Not much else to report. Starting to think about getting my personal TDY checklist together (what goes with me, etc). I also need to go have points added to my promo total next week, so I need to clean up on some correspondance courses. I think I'm going to do some of that Friday.
surrealphantast, you'll notice I started the weekly question on Joeland. The one that's up should provide some entertainment. (evil laugh)
