>> currently own a 1999 Plymouth Neon. It's going to be driven until expiration, as I can't afford a new one. I'm just wondering if we're having similar issues with our cars. My sunroof is broken--even after repair--and I've had persistent oil leaks, and last year I needed an entirely new cooling system installed. >>
The biggest major thing I've had done is total overhaul of the brakes. No sunroof in mine to start with. Not enough get up and go for my taste, developing a shake over 60 mph, even after the tuneup, and not one of the best designed vehicles I've ever driven. The 2000 redesign was much better. I know, because I owned one, until I rolled it after meeting up with some black ice. I bought the 98 mainly because it had low mileage, was in decent condition for its age, and because it was lower insurance. I feel as if I have sufficiently done my penance.
