desertvixenI heard the song Good Ride, Cowboy on the radio today, after finally finding a country radio station that's not monopolized by the Top 40.
I did not know that Chris LeDoux had died. (in March of 2005) I'm not sure exactly how this missed my notice. I wasn't listening to the radio a lot, but I'm surprised I didn't see it somewhere else in the news.
It's a good song, and we'll be keeping our eyes open for the CD it's on. Unfortunately, this means we'll have to go into a Wal-Mart.

Country music is poorer, in my opinion. I think what he's most famous for in "mainstream" country is a) the ref in the Garth Brooks song "Much Too Young to be This Damn Old" b) the duet with Garth Brooks, "Whatcha Gonna Do (With A Cowboy)".
Personally, my favorites are "This Cowboy's Hat", "I Believe in America", "Riding for a Fall", "Gravitational Pull", and "Hooked on an Eight Second Ride".
